*Thumbs up if you love your Hemi V8!!!!!*

I noticed a valve tick only once on my 2021 RAM 5.7 at about 11,700 miles on the odo. The truck was parked with the front facing up hill quite steeply, rear was down hill. It sat there for 6 hours. When I started it, there was a loud ticking from the valve train for about 10-15 seconds. The hill I parked on was maybe 40 degrees. I won't be parking that way again if I can avoid it. I didn't notice a tick on startup with the truck parked the reverse direction, front facing downward in the same location sitting about the same amount of time.

I had a 2018 RAM 1500 express that I bought brand new. Had to let it go because it was costing too much per month ,anyway , loved the truck had no problems with it and had 46000 miles when I got rid of it. Recently just purchased a 2011 slt and it ticks. Just not sure if it's the lifters and cam. Sounds more like the flex plate is cracked as the sound is coming from underneath close to transmission. When I rev it just a bit the tick goes away. It's a 5.7

What kind of oil you change? 5w30 or 5w20 ? Thx

Hey, I'm from Germany and I got me a 2022 RAM 1500 Rebel. Is this lifter failure limited to specific model years or can it occur in the newer models like mine as well?

Got a question. With the Hemi tick if it's the exhaust manifold bolts broken, will you hear the tick every time the truck idles after driving it a few miles? I have a Chrysler 300c with the hemi and after the engine warms up, I hear the tick especially when it idles. Don't know if it's the exhaust manifold broken bolts or a bad lifter and camshaft. Will get it check out very soon.

I got a 2019 limited ram 1500 that makes the same ticking sound on cold start every morning . The truck got 35,000 mi on it. The ticking goes away after 30 seconds. Should I be concerned?
