Use a bungie cord to hold the grass shield/deflector up and out of the way so you can use both hands to attach the lower shoot. It's the same bungie cord you should be using when you install and use the mulching cover.

Just got the same bagger but can't figure out how to attach it to a TroyBilt 30R. Everything else would be the same. Thanks for the video.

The bagger comes with two ways of attaching it to a mower. If you have two little holes for mounting on the mower already it is a direct fit. If you don't have those you need to use the adapter plate. I had to take a second look at the instruction sheet because it is a little bit fuzzy on what to do. On page 6, figures 1-2 and 1-5 describe the two different mounting methods. i just hope you have all the parts needed. That might be another thing to check. Good luck! I now know that I was sold the wrong model. I got a 300310 when I needed a 300140. it's going back.
