Im over the moon and still some what in disbelief this actually is going to happen with him coming to my beloved Ajax. As said during this interview, normally these kind of players arent coming to Ajax or the Dutch league in general. For once Im happy with the Dutch tax system😁😇😉. We really need a player of this caliber to show the youngsters how its done and to lead them, and show them what it takes to be a pro.

Sometimes big dutch players come back to the eredivisie at the end of the career, for example Arjen Robben and Robin van Persie. But you never see such a big player who is not dutch and have never played in the eredivisie before, come to the eredivisie.

Ajax needs a player with experience that can tell players which position to take during the match. There are no leaders in the team. My question to Liverpool fans is: Can Henderson do that?

Henderson is certainly a leader and won't hesitate to encourage and give instructions to players. I'm not sure what his fitness and stamina levels are at.

He might not be. But what ajax are currently looking for most is some leadership on the pitch. The squad is way too young and those young players need a true professional who can guide them. On the pitch as well as off the pitch

@ Brucky The game changer for us are his leadership qualities and him being able to show our youngsters what they got to do if they want to reach the top. But also is able to peg them down a notch when needed, and to make sure they stay in formation. No one expect him to be the finishing piece of the puzzle, but we desperately need an international experienced player who can share his experience and make others play better.

They don’t necessarily need a game changer. Ajax are already scoring goals but it’s their midfield that just can’t defend. He’ll probably help with creating a more rigid defense which in this case would be a game changer for Ajax

All we need for ajax are players that know the game. Ajax will come back, but I dont think he knows how bad some of the players are right now, we are left with a legacy of the last technical director and it aint pretty.

One Tony Morley! There was only one Tony Morley! Tony Morley Aston Villa left winger and the man who gave the decisive assist to Peter White in Rotterdam against Bayern Munich joined The Hague FC in 1986... we were absolutely totally delighted too cause he just had it. We Dutch love English players and I praise Henderson for his choice he will be able to play football here, nobody gets worse here only better, we know we don't have a competitive league as in England Spain or Italy but... we are the current numbers 5 on the UEFA country list for a reason

Henderson is a top top player and athlete trust me I’m a Liverpool fan for years. I’ve seen all kinds of players at this club. Henderson was crucial in the early title-run under Brendan Rodgers. We lost the league and it’s no surprise he was suspended for the last 3 games. He was crucial. And then under Klopp. There’s a reason why Klopp made him the captain and also converted him to a number 6 - holding midfielder. You need to have some level of football IQ to be able to play that holding role for a big manager like Klopp. I’m an AJAX fan from now. ❌❌❌

Because our team is currently 20 years of age on average and we're missing someone with his mentality. Three of our CDM/nr.6 players are injured. None of the current midfielders has the character to lead the team. All older boys (Tadic, Blind, Klaassen, Haller, Alvarez, Martinez) left the club, some of which after disputes. Don't you think Henderson (with 492 caps for a Liverpool team that won a lott) would be a good addition to that?

I think on the long term an offensive, 10 till 15 goals per season in the competition scoring, midfielder, younger than 23, would have been a far better option, than a 33 1/2 year old, defensive midfielder, who only scores 2 goals in the competition in 34 matches, and who has a far too high salary!! This is panic football by the Ajax-management, very bad management!!
