Henry Cavill would be a perfect James Bond if he is given good stories and scripts. I just watched him nail the part of Napoleon Solo in "The Man from UNCLE", he was better than the original Robert Vaughn. He did a perfect lighthearted but sophisticated character.

I don’t think Aaron has enough acting skills (leading man)! He also strikes me as someone who looks at himself in the mirror a lot where as Henry is a proven leading man and comes across as down to earth so before he gets any older please give Henry the roll cause I think he would nail it!

I don't think you need to put down one person just to prop the other. Cavill is easily better because he fits the character in a lot of ways and he is a real fan who understands what makes Bond work. Also, Johnson has done a lot of gritty independent movies - he is not likely the type of pretty boy you're envisioning.

We already saw a younger origin type version of Bond with Craig. Henry will be excellent for an experienced James Bond. If he doesn't get the main role, at least make him the villian. He'll be perfect for it too.

Henry Cavill would be an amazing James Bond. He is so handsome, athletic and women all ages absolutely adore him. Not only in Superman but everything he does is amazing. From Superman to the Witcher he is a dream. Aaron was great in Avengers but I don’t think he is a 007 cut. Because let’s be real here. After Pierce Brosnan who was the best ever and then Daniel Craig ( let’s not forget Sean Connery) a perfect next 007 would be Henry Cavill.

I think he got out of Witcher to be free to play James Bond; it would be inconvenient for him to be tied to multiple franchises at a time, and there is no sign of another Superman.

For me, Henry Cavill is the traditional choice to be James Bond coz: - women loves his looks and physical presence - his female costars thirsts over him all the time - he has proven he can act - he is very physical - Cavill is the James Bond candidate that got away, just like Pierce Brosnan. On the last point, when I see the track records of who plays James Bond, the odd number James Bond is always more lovable and likable world wide, regardless their box office. No 1 is Sean Connery, no 3 is Roger Moore and no 5 is Pierce Brosnan. Pierce Brosnan almost got the James Bond role, but lost it due to his contract on Remington Steele. Henry Cavill lost James Bond role due to his not famous enough at the time, but then he got Superman and became sensational actor. So, it's an easy decision. Choose Henry Cavill. Regarding James Bond storyline, everytime there's a new Bond, there's always a new team assembled with different style of Bond movies.

@@englishfilms2 James Bond always needs some good measure of humor. Considering all the world crisis he has to face, an always intense Bond will lose his mind in 1 mission. That's what differentiate James Bond from Rambo or John Wick. Bond has this unique synical, sometimes sarcastic, humor that sync well with the audience. Connery started it and perfected it. The rest follows. Lazenby was known as the least humorous Bond is a good example.

@@englishfilms2 Well, that's exactly my point. James Bond is an expensive entertainment. The stories are always ridiculous and at the same time give some cynical jokes on real life issues. I fancy myself as an amateur writer and how they deliver those nudges are entertaining BUT also stayed in the audience brain, consciously - subconsciously - unconsciously. To make it overly serious, will push some audience away. My wife refused to watch Craig as James Bond outside Casino Royale, even then she said Craig is not her choice as James Bond. I do appreciate Craig's take BUT it's not Bond-like Bond which has been imprinted in Bond fans. I kept hoping Cavill got it, but now it's whether or not Cavill say YES to Bond. Like you said, the writers and directors must match the star. I don't want to see female Bond or asian Bond or other type of Bond. I want to see British handsome man with wicked sense of humor and killer instinct. But to make the next Bond even more serious than Craig will be the end of Bond. The world will not take another serious and blood thirsty angry Bond. We have John Wick for that.

@@englishfilms2 Weird, we have exactly the same points on agreement, but our preferences are different. 🤣🤣🤣 Cavill does have that single soft gesture of comedy without actually doing a comedy. But he does comedy well also. In short, let's agree on Henry Cavill is the best actor to play James Bond at current time. In regards of John Wick, I'm not young but I do find the smart injection of humor, satire and cynism in some small numbers of movies funny. The action is comical and that's the funny part. Reeves is, honestly, not my favorite actor but I do respect his being true to his personality as he will ever be.

It's not just age or looks !!! The actor needs to have an intensity and a dark side, which Henry to me is the only one who can pull it off !!! Especially after Craig's portrayal all these years. Which was incredible !!! He brought a more rugged safistication to the role, different from the immortal Sean Connery's version of dapper and smarts.
