11 жыл бұрынAs World War I was coming to an end, the future of an unfinished hydro-electric dam in Alabama was anything but certain. Henry Ford, inventor of the Model T, saw the dam in Muscle Shoals as a tremendous industrial opportunity. Ford changed the Shoals area of North Alabama. But, he didn't get what he wanted. Instead, the haggling lead to the birth of TVA, the Tennessee Valley Authority.

I always wondered about this, locals say that the nitrate buildings are still there, but obviously the myth was that Ford was going in to make automobiles, Thanks for the info.
