I agree with your message about branching out into areas of history with which one may not be familiar. I'm seeking to challenge myself more in this regard too. I think especially when the author is a good scholar and writer, new worlds can be opened up for us when reading a good history book about a subject that may be new to us. Very nice review!

I always enjoy your reviews and this was no different. I am from Canada and we seemed to miss Henry III as well. I definitely want to read the book now. Hiw did you become a book reviewer? It is something I have wanted to do for a long time but have no idea where to start
