The great thing about Jonesy's Jukebox is that Steve Jones gives his interviewees the CHANCE to talk about themselves. He's not (thankfully) a mainstream journalist, he's a musician, he gives his interviewees the space to talk, he's not just asking about when the new album's coming out; we need somebody like Steve Jones on UK TV, imagine, say Channel 4 doing a televised version of Jonesy's Jukebox? It would be must-watch television, better than BBC 4's music output, better than Six Music, although why don't they give him a show? Steve Jones is fantastic and he's doing a GREAT job. Also, he gets the people on his show: Brian May, David Coverdale, Sparks, John Cooper Clark, John Taylor, Ozzy Osbourne, most of these people don't get invited on to TV in the UK. Honestly, Steve is the best.

Love this comment. Jonesy also is not afraid to ask seemingly stupid questions. He's not afraid to show his ignorance and really ask a question wanting an answer from his subject. Most interviewers steer away from anything that they don't already know the answer to. I miss his show so much. I hope he gets back in the studio soon.

Apparently Steve has a bunch of ignorant, uneducated, low self esteemed people who are somehow threatened by Henry Rollins- a genuinely nice and caring guy who just wants to help the world- watching his show. How sad. Peace & Love to Steve and Henry
@ENigma-um8zw2 жыл бұрын
Agree. Same was just like why does it sideways threaten some people so much about the certainty and expression of a speaker talking about things they’re being asked and who can articulate but also within the actual balance of sharing time and thoughts with another human being. I know some people are deeply uncomfortable and uncertain in communication but these two however clearly don’t.

@DaleHodgkins0n5 жыл бұрын
@@radzo1675 . Sweden. You can walk anywhere, camp anywhere, light a fire anywhere... and not get shot for doing so. The only rule is: leave the land as you found it. Oh yeah... healthcare is free.... so if you get cancer (or pregnant!) a trip to the hospital to sort you out doesn't have to be covered by an insurance policy or incur a huge invoice as you leave. And before you even start bleating about "high tax", the tax that everyone pays ensures the entire society actually works. And just about no one gets shot. .... And the bullshit about "immigrant invasion" is just that... utter bullshit... propogated, I guess, to keep dull muppets from ever questioning the lie that the US is actually "free". Don't believe me? Go on a camping trip in the good ol US of A. Or try smoking a cigarette on the sidewalk outside of corporate building. Wardens or Police or some other official parental substitutes will be crawling all over you within minutes. Do the same in Sweden and nobody bats an eyelid.
