No idea why but this just dawned on me now: I always thought to myself, "Gee, Henry is just so naturally well spoken and articulate, no wonder he's so great at speaking and writing. What a gift he has". I'm thinking now, it's the complete opposite. Spending a lifetime LEARNING to write lyrics in band, LEARNING to speak for shows, STUDYING others lyrics, STUDYING other peoples writing... he's learned most of it from scratch. Ya I'm sure maybe he's naturally outgoing/extroverted, but he's essentially been a student for 50 years developing and honing skills.

If there's one thing that Rollins is not then it's being "naturally outgoing/extroverted".

Perhaps his writing is what has made him the speaker he is.

He's stated many times he's a solitary guy who doesn't love talking. He said a lot of his youth and young adult life was spent alone, and avoiding people.

These sorts of realizations are so liberating, it shows that anybody can become great at almost anything with enough practice and passion!

He is all of us' Dad. We are Henry's surrogate children. I'm gonna go cry in my pillow in gratitude now. Wait. No, I'm just gonna write on my book more and send Henry a Father's Day card. That.

That’s a bold statement, especially since the man has wholeheartedly said that he would not be a good dad. Don’t forget, we always see Henry at his brightest; seldom do we see him at his worsts
