Hello, Henry; I watch your KZfaq channel in Southern Oregon, USA. It's a great part of the country for photography, especially seascapes and woodland photos. I'm now 81 years old so I don't get out to do photography as much as I used to, but still manage to get to the local parks and coastal areas occasionally. Enjoy following you on your hikes. Take care.

Blimey that was a long one and we had to wait right to the end to see a nice image, well done. Now here is some advice from a eighty year old who has done it all before, read the instructions and try everything out before you go out in the wilds! and don't forget to eat your porridge in the mornings and have your Cumberland sos bun later, I live near the city so I enjoyed your views and it was lovely to watch you enjoying yourself...well done and Thank you! From Birmingham.

We all have to tumble for the image! I recently had a tumble on Ilkley Moor but saved the camera! Ripped the backside out of my trousers, cut my elbow and got a bollocking from my wife... but got the shot! From ESSEX!

Loved this extra long adventure this week young Henry. I love that you are not afraid to look a bit daft i.e. the water filter disaster! Most other folk would edit that out but oh no not our Henry. Good on yer lad. Im a Yorkshire born and bred lass living in beautiful Scotland (Edinburgh). Fabulous area to wild camp and have adventures. Really good to see you perky after a good nights sleep. Thanks Henry

Hi Henry , I have followed your channel for a couple of years now, the reason I love your content is because of the enthusiasm you always show for whatever you are doing and the very relaxed way you present them. I live in Grimsby on the east coast and don't get over to the Lakes as often as I would like to so your offerings always please me seeing where you go and how you compose your pictures. Thanks for another great video and long may they continue.

Have been watching your channel for over a year now and enjoy your treks through the woodlands and mountains, fells I think you call them. Here in Pensacola FL, USA we lack the elevation you experience in the Lake District. Being close to the Gulf of Mexico we experience an abundance of Seascapes and have to travel North to experience the colors of Fall. But, sea, sand dunes, beautiful sunrises, and sunsets, can make for some very beautiful compositions. Trek on!

Hi Henry, I live in St Albans and manage to visit the Lake District just once a year for one or two days. I need to get up there a lot more and spend days and days hiking and taking photos - such a beautiful area! So watching your videos (as I have for a few years now) is a real treat - for all the months I can't make it there in person, and might I say it's refreshing to see your bad days as well as your good days. We all experience the days when our equipment doesn't work, when the weather just doesn't 'perform' as expected, and when you reach the location but somehow there aren't any decent compositions to find - so thanks for showing us your experiences, as they happen. Oh yeah - and for your boundless enthusisam - keep up the great work!

In hamilton Ontario, not far from Toronto. I know on a hike weight is important and so is space, have you seen the hero clip? Is a carabiner comes in a couple different sizes. Be great to hang the bag up if you need to or hang a small bag for your garbage so it’s not taking space in the bag and when you get home or to a shop it’s all bagged up on the outside of the pack and off you go.

wow perfect viewing Henry, thanks for the effort you make, really loving that your most recent uploads have been something more of "longform" videos 30+ and 40+ minutes, proper value to answer your question I'm from Scotland though I live among the Angles and Saxons these days in the east of London. I'm going to drop this here as I did on a previous video of yours involving that Trangia and non-igniting fuel, bear in mind with these fuels it's more that the vapour burns than the fluid so if the fuel is cold, lighting it can be difficult, yes the fluid WILL burn once temperatures rise or there's a ruddy great conflagration going on. I think you're going to need an insulated container or a warmer spot to carry that fuel in if you want it to light more readily People have the same hassle at Christmas time trying to light brandy on their Plum Duff and then they go nuts put too much on and when they DO get damned stuff to light they incinerate the Chrimbo Pud' or burn the house down It's the vapour that burns more readily than the fluid

Another cracking episode, and only at the end did I realise it's 40-mins long! 😆 On some channels longer videos feel long. With this, and all of yours, I genuinely don't feel a minute watching has been wasted. Probably it's down to how you go about your photography, rather than trying too hard to be ultra slick on the production side, you simply go out and show us where you are, what you're photographing, and a massive dollop of enthusiasm and the occasioanl irritation, e.g. the exploding water filter, all of that us amateurs can relate to. By the way, I'm watching from the Worcestershire/Herefordshire area.

Hi Henry. Greetings from Norway, near Oslo. I’m watching your videos regularly, and have done so 2-3 years. I like your enthusiastic, positive down to earth approach and honesty. I like in particular your attention to what matters in the end, the pictures. The composition, the light, the weather and location matters more to that effect, than fancy gear and expensive lenses. Informative and inspirational. I struggle with good nature photography, living in a rather urban environment, and can only do this as a hobby with limited time spend. Therefore I do macro, family portraits and whatever other category I can think of to compensate. Keep up the good work Henry.

I enjoy getting up in the Cascade mountains or on the Oregon coast, camping, hiking & photographing landscapes. The weather here is similar to England, though hotter and drier in summer. Am getting homesick for a visit back to England after watching your videos for the last 3 years. BTW- If you want to use liquid fuel, take a serious look at MSR (Mountain Safety Research) international stoves. They burn several types of fuel and are great mountaineering stoves.

Still... you got something way nicer to eat down in the valley. Trangia won't light? Enjoyable vlog as always. Interesting that you did not know what to shoot in the morning. There was potential but no subject. I think that's where planning is required. I live in the Lakes and like you did not really plan as I know the area so well. However, I also ended up like you not having a shot when there were good conditions. What I do now is always have one composition in mind when I go out, and then I can look around for others.

Hi Henry, I watch from Quebec City, Canada. Great shots again. I must say with the title of this post, I was on edge for most of it fearing something bad was going to happen... I'm glad you are alright to shoot another day.

Hi Henry. I've really been enjoying these longer adventure videos. I like to be able to really see the areas you're visiting and feel even in a small way what it'd be like to do those hikes. I'm watching from Maine, USA and hope to get out to do more hiking myself next year. Thanks as always for taking us along. :)

Thanks, Henry, from Rugby in Warwickshire. Back in the 1970s I lived in Sedbergh, opposite Kendal reflected in the M6. We often ventured into The Lakes and that’s why I especially enjoy your Cumbrian adventures. Thanks!
