A lot of Asian parents are like this. They take their kids for granted while they’re there but deep down they do actually do care for them. They just don’t know how to show their love directly. Unfortunately it resulted in the kids feeling neglected and questioning their self worth.

@@somegirlmadi It does depend on the generation but also each individuals. My cousin is fairly young and she tells her husband she loves him often. He in return does not. They’ve been married for years but he’s only told her once or twice that he loves her. Recently being frustrated she asked him why and his response was, “If you say it too often then it doesn’t mean anything anymore.” She told us his reason and we’re like…”what the heck!??”

I believe neglected kids are always taken for granted. Their school mistreats them and even authority who is supposed to care of them. Speaking from Personal experience. Take care of your kids, look out for them and talk to them. Show up for them and support them. Let others know they have backup.

The father can’t accept what had happen to his daughter and he act like someone need to blame but the real thing he can’t accept that it’s his fault he just realize it at the end when he tried to know his daughter more.. Forgiveness and acceptance that we need so we can start to live again and look forward to the next chapter of our life and have sometime for someone you love so you don’t regret anything..

its not his fault shes dead, its the truck driver fault and hers. she should have never stole or ran into traffic. she woulda been alive if she wasn't so careless and dumb

Of course the school doesn't want to find who were the bullies because they don't want their reputation to be on the line, and its more important than their former student getting justice

Ladies and gentlemen this is the perfect example explaining that carrying the blood of your family doesn't exactly mean that you are family. This is the perfect example of why some people do not deserve the title of a parent. I've had problems like this before and I even got scolded by my friends, teachers, and people I didn't know for saying that Mom isn't a mother because mother wouldn't have done the things she did to me. Sometimes people shouldn't be involved in this only if they understood how that person felt. This movie is the perfect example of what its like for some children who can't even make it out alive and I would hope people would understand the situation before judging the kid for saying the things they were saying because if I were a parent and if I heard these things I'd immediately be on the child's side.

Japanese literally take apologizing to the next level... If they aren't being forgiven they felt that its a dishonor.. like for the punishment they kill themselves... Regret literally easily consume them even though its not truly their fault . That's why Japan has so many suicide... They Take the Blame seriously, they would rather die than carry that shame.

@@jaspm it isn't as extreme in Korea. For example: One might already know about the strict regulations Korean idols have to abide by but those aren't as extreme as those of the Japanese idols. One female idol shaved her head and recorded an apology video for ruining her fans' delusions, begging her fans to still support her after she was spotted with her boyfriend

This is heartbreaking. As an Asian parent who raised my kids in America I certainly changed my perception in saying I Love You to my kids all the time. Before they go to school I always kiss and say I love you and before they go to bed. Now that they are adults my kids still say I love you to me before they leave to work and I the same. At least I know that I am assuring them that no matter how old they are, they will always be my babies.

I think it's difficult for the truck driver to see a girl lying down on the road because of the height of the driver's seat.

Not only that but he didn’t seem as remorseful as the lady in the car…she just couldn’t forgive herself. The truck driver was long gone and was only there in the story briefly and didn’t show up again

@@dianayesville Usually in real-life scenarios, nobody really cares about a roadkill because it happens to often. Worst they'll do is write an article and forget about it like it didn't happen. In this movie, there's no mystery on the death. The girl just got killed by a speeding truck. You can see the reporters desperately trying to interview or get a story out of anyone even remotely connected to the case. That's how the media is being nosy

Sometimes people shoplift for attention. There are some people who are richer than rich who shoplift for fun because they know that they can get away with it and/or not be penalized. I've seen that at Wal-Mart a lot when I worked there. I couldn't believe it. Our jobs as cashiers were to specifically to check inside bags and storage bins. And if we forgot then the door greeters caught it. Especially the one's who went to self checkout and UNFORTUNATELY it mattered who was trying to steal. Sorry for the long explanation. 😑
