I feel like the whole world had the same conversations with each other. I didn't break down crying until they removed the crown from her coffin. She really kept her pledge to her people. She dedicated her whole long life to the crown. She was such a wonderful example of dignity and grace. I feel so saddened by your loss. I send sympathy from the US to all who loved or cared for her.

The Crown and Jewels being removed was an undo of the Coronation and confirmation that her promise had been fulfilled. It was truly gutwrenching. Years of my Nan telling us what the coronation was like to watch...then she's not here anymore but for me to realise it was the undo of that, broke us

What really underlined it for me was definitely the Palace statement mentioning "The King". That felt so final. King Charles III, having to step up to the plate and take on the responsibilities of the throne all while grieving the death of his dear mother. It sounds like an awful lot happening at once. But there are reminders of the Queen everywhere still. Banknotes, stamps, consumer items which mention "By appointment to Her Majesty the Queen", Royal Mail vans and military insignia still saying EIIR because it's an undertaking to update it.

My heart goes out to the people of the U.K. Most of its citizens don't remember a United Kingdom without Elizabeth, either as Queen or as future Queen. I can't imagine the psychological jolt this is to all of you. But as an American I'd like to make a suggestion. Once the coronation of King Charles takes place and you settle into the new reign there will be a tendency in years to come for you to believe/claim that "England died with Elizabeth II," especially during rough times. Don't go down that road psychologically. It will lead to fatalism. England can survive if its people want it to survive and do what it takes to make the nation strong. The nation existed before Elizabeth was born, it can survive after she's gone. I honor her memory and respect her service to her people, but she was a symbol. She was not the sum total of British life. Long live the memory of Queen Elizabeth II. God save the King. And may God bless the people of the United Kingdom.

I didn't mourn for her passing I CELEBRATED her LIFE and the impact she had. I honestly didn't know how I would react she has been my only monarch. I knew how I reacted to Diana's death I was devastated I sobbed. I even caught the train to London so I could go lay flowers I grew into womanhood with her and just loved her it was that simple. Yet when the news broke I silently cried and my first thought was she's gone to be with Phillip. So no the end of an era and the start if a new one but he has big shoes to fill and I don't think he has it. William and Catherine on the other hand now we're talking there is nothing about them I dislike.

I can tell you, her passing had a profound effect in non-British regions of the world as well. I look after folks with cognitive differences who are unable to live on their own here in Norway. When they heard the news, it was all some of them wanted to talk about. I had to go away and have a private little cry (I'm from New Zealand, so my heart strings were really pulled), so when I got back to work, we tried to look for information and news in Norwegian so they could follow what was going on. She had an impact on the world and Norwegians remember the support given to their royal family in Britain during WW2. I don't think it will ever be the same.

Our Queen devoted her life to serve us. She declared that 70 years ago when she was 25. What a age to have that put on her. Not only to serve us but the Commonwealth. At her tender age of 25 she did us proud. Our Queen had suffered . A daughter, a sister, a mother, a grandmother. a great grandmother, a wife. Our Queen wanted to complete her journey. Having a meeting with Boris Johnson leaving Prime Minister and meeting the new Prime Minister. Now her devotion to us was done and our Queen laid her head and Philip put his arms around our Queen,. Here in Ottawa, Canada, the news of Queen Elizabeth II's passing came at 1:30PM local time. I had my TV tuned all morning to BBC World News, as it seemed that something drastic was going to happen. Still, I was really shocked to see the news of Her Majesty's death. The end of an era.

I didn’t think I’d be too upset. I obviously was sad cuz she’s the Queen but we didn’t personally know her and I don’t think about her daily but if I take a quiet moment, I feel sad. For as long as I live I’ll never truly see the kings to come, as THE king. It’ll always be the Queen. A few weeks ago I saw a flag down somewhere and said ‘The queen’s not home’ then I friend reminded me. She was so sweet even though we didn’t know her. She’ll always be in our hearts.

Actually 'Nutty' we do have a role model. H.M. King Charles III is pretty damned good at the job. Prince's Trust has helped THOUSANDS get into their dream careers and continued to support youngsters to get on a path of hope. He knows of the shoes he needs to fill and to be honest, has been doing so for decades. This bears no difference for CENTURIES. Charles IS a good man.
