I swear, our boy Joel could eaaaasily be like a super good musical professor and voice coach type person. He's so amazingly analytical, very obviously knows his shit, but he doesn't lose perspective, doesn't lose sight on why people are doing what they are or remove the human equation from it. I'd legit love to see him branch out and see him talk about vocalists of various popular bands, his thoughts on what they do right, wrong, and what makes them memorable and successful or, if the vocalist didn't have much of a career, what they might have done to become more memorable or interesting or the like.

Thanks for talking about the "Someone to look up to" thing. People who are white oftentimes don't understand why you'd want someone who looks like you to admire, or to have in shows you like. Especially as a kid, you don't notice these things or how it may affect you. I didn't have a lot of role models growing up, and due the stuff I watched, I started admiring people with straight hair and fair skin and stuff. Basically ruined my hair lmao, I'm getting over it now- cut that off haha.
