You can also get to Hokkaido by Shinkansen! The last Shinkansen station is Hakodate and it takes around 4h20min from Tokyo :) Hakodate is also quite a nice place to visit! I totally agree the best milk experience is certainly in Hokkaido!!!!!!

Hokkaido is on my next Japan visit list so THIS IS PERFECT! I always thought I would have to travel there in winter, but now I’m thinking otherwise 😏 Thank you so much for always sharing the best travel spots ❤️

Thank you for the amazing trip to Sapporo with gorgeous and delicious foods. This is the place I want to visit if the COVID emergency statement is cancelled. If you have time, I recommend to visit the eastern region of Hokkaido with great nature and beautiful Japanese cranes.

Omgosh this has me so emotional. I hiked Mt. moiwa with everyone on my study abroad on our last night together in Japan!! Everyone left back to the US and I stayed behind to keep traveling

I don’t know if you already have a video about this, if not, it would be really nice with a video when you give tips for someone who are going to travel to Japan, for instance some good words to know, things you should bring etc. Love your videos, just makes me want to go there more and more!!

Great video. I went to Sapporo a few months ago when it was covered in snow. It was fun but it looks a lot nicer when it’s green. Must do a summer trip!

Caitlin, if I may offer a little constructive criticism, you should make it clear the the 4 vids are on a different channel and this video on your channel is just a synopsis of what to see in more detail on the Visit Sapporo channel.

This is so helpful! Hoping to travel to Hokkaido either next year or year after and I love all these food and destination ideas. If you ever go back in the winter I think it would be really cool to do a Hokkaido in the winter video! (If you can brave the cold lol!)

I hope that next time you make a video about Hokkaido you consider including discussions about the indigenous peoples of the land. They have a very small museum (called the National Ainu Museum) that is dedicated to promoting their culture in Hokkaido (or "Ainu Moshiri" - "land of the Ainu" as they call it) and boosting tourism there would go a long way for educating Japan and the world about their indigenous population. This would in turn encourage conversation about their self-determination, their collective rights as indigneous peoples, reparations and decolonisation :)

Caitlin, this was so neat! I know Sapporo is famous for the snow festival but it was exciting to see it highlighted during another season of the year! Congrats on this awesome tourism vid. Did the Sapporo tourism folks come to you or did you pitch to them?!

I know you have no way of knowing but in your opinion when do you think Japan will open it’s borders? We have flights from the states at the end of Feb 2022 and I’m trying not to get my hopes up but 😩 I really really want to visit Japan.

The clear mask was for filming only! Any other time (off camera) they replaced my mask with a regular one 🙌🏻
