Everette Bernard gives an excellent rendition, but Gavin Christopher is the Brother who originally recorded this with Herbie, God rest his soul. He used to sing with The New Birth(Wildflower), and then LTD (replacing Jeffrey Osborne). Mr. Bernard gives his amazing ''cockny' version, making it his own-Bravo!

This record on CD was my introduction to Herbie Hancock when I was a teen. I had heard Sunlight in the middle of the night on the radio, next day I bought this album based on the cover not knowing what I would find. 25 years later, it's still one of my favourites.

Gorgeous. ...the Legendary Bernard Fowler (New York City Peech Boys, Tackhead, Material, Nicklebag, Rolling Stones male tour backing vocalist since Steel Wheels and on a bunch of their solo projects). The selection captured me, upon my first listening experience. And, that was July, 1980. According to all accounts, the selection was released that very year, some months earlier. Recently, I acquired the release, on CD, haven't parted, with it, play this selection, on a daily basis.
