💑 About Hercules Candy
Hercules Candy has been on Steve’s side of the family since 1910(ish). When he took over in the 70’s, he anticipated after 10 years of hard work, he could move the business out of the basement and into a real storefront. Unfortunately, it took until 2018 for that to happen, but hey at least it happened! Steve and Terry own the shop, Craig (the social media manager) is their son, Cara (wrapper and shipper extraordinaire who is poised to take over the shop one day) is their daughter and Leah (who doesn’t love being on camera and is very elusive) is their oldest daughter. Hear me out ---- make a Key Lime Pie bark! The Golden Grahams are the key lime pie crust, make some key lime candies and crush them up, and get a ton of those cereal sized marshmallows for the méringue on top! Same could be done with a lemon pie bark! You can even do a piña colada bark with pineapple, lime, coconut candies (perhaps some rum flavor candies too) crushed up and dried pineapple and coconut on top!

I'm not a white chocolate lover at all (dark chocolate all the way), but this bark looks incredible. Very unique...great job Kaitlyn!!!! I'm sure it will sell out quickly. Keeping my fingers crossed for more barks with dark chocolate. Would love one that includes crushed pretzels, mini marshmallows, nuts and raisins. Like a Rocky Road bark.🤞❤❤🍫

A couple of notes from the UK. Over here we have a hard/drop candy flavour called strawberries and cream, which is a double-sided flavour mix of strawberry and cream, similar to the cheesecake flavour here. Another British recipe this video brings to mind is "Eton Mess", which is strawberry/raspberry, whipped cream and meringue. Maybe there could be audiences for those two flavours in the future. Just some idle thinking.

Strawberries and cream are a fairly popular flavor profile here. Classically served on a shortbread cake. Also, as a hard candy, salt water taffy, cake, and cookies(biscuits). I even do a savory version with blackened sea scallops on clotted cream drizzled with strawberry coriander beurre blanc.

An idea for another bark, a dup of a Take 5 candy bar with caramel, pretzels, peanuts, peanut butter, and chocolate! Wow, I stumbled on your website when looking on how to make hard candies (drops), something I have wanted to do since I retired. I have been make Buttery Peanut Brittle, Toffee and Chocolate covered caramels for years now (Mid 90s) for gifts around Thanksgiving and Christmas. While watching this video I saw the Cuse Wrestler Huddie and was like wait are they located near or in Cuse??? This is great because now I know were to go to try some of these 😊. I used to live up on the hill off of Midler Ave but never knew you were so close. I shopped at Wegmans just around the corner. I see your roots are from Candy makers who learned in Fulton, where I now live. I was a Nestle’s Kid, my dad, and a few uncles all worked there. Can’t wait to come and see y’all!!! Oh and gets some of your candies!!!

i would of put white choc over the strawberries sealed it in cause freeze dried goes soft after air or humidity hits it vacume sealed will hold the strawberries will be good to hear back after sitting in those bags after a few days QC is a great feed back

Im like Julie, I don't care for regular cheesecake flavor but I did find something that appeased my senses. It's a peanut butter/pumpkin cheesecake! Boy that was good, the pumpkin was a perfect way to balance the overwhelming flavor and texture of the cream cheese, it's a great combo. Also, have you made strawberry shortcake bark?

I am very interested in how the freeze dried strawberries work. I don’t think it will. They absorb water from the air too quickly. If they are in or coated with chocolate should be ok.

However from my research Strawberry during the Roman Empire, it was considered as a aferduziac and originally from Asia. But this can also be found in Hod HaSharon, through the right season (which is in Israel in spring time). Unlike from what i remember in America that it's sold during the summer time . If y'all know when y'all can purchase this yummy strawberry then yes please do respond to my comment. Cause i have no clue is to were you can purchase this in the world.

Question: since you are going to crush it up anyway do you have to cut the candy I to bite sized pieces?? It seems like you could save that lengthy step and just pull it out and cut into long strips with the scissors.
