Here and there on a Saturday afternoon plus a visit to the newly opened New Monks Farm Country Park

Today was the opening of a new country park close on the Monks Farm in Lancing. It has been in the making for a couple of years but officially opened today as it was left to let some wild flowers grow. I believe they will be planting trees and there will be a play park for children. For now it is an open 28 acre natural area built on what was once a landfill site.
First of all we arrive in Bramber to have a quick look at the beautiful St Mary's which was once an enchanting historic pilgrim inn, c1450. One day we will take you inside the house which is said to be stunning. I can't wait for that day! Then we had lunch at Churchside Café, under new management and only reopened today. A lovely toasted sandwich and some cake woohoo. We had a walk along the river and saw lots of wildlife including a gorgeous kestrel. I only have my phone with me once again so the filming on this one is not the best, but I hope you'll still enjoying coming along with us. Thanks for watching if you do.

Oh yes Fiona, it was super windy today but I love when the flowers blow in the wind, it blows away the cobwebs too 😄 The food at the café was really nice and it's a lovely setting right by the Church. It was nice at the country park, we will go there often now and see the progression that takes place as new trees and wild flowers are planted. @@jeanblemings5352 Jean it only officially opened today. If you go off the new roundabout at what was the Sussex Pad, south of Lancing College, and head right towards the new Cala homes, it’s just there. There’s a new car park too. Lunch was really nice there, under new management and newly opened today. Recommended 👌 Thanks for watching Jean, see you on Monday 🥰

@jeanblemings5352 eventually they will open up pedestrian access through the new homes area I believe. I'm not sure if you can access from the airport side. I've sent you a link, maybe you could ask on the forum Jean 🥰
