Just to summarize the points. 1. Be regular in meditation 2. Meditate at specific time (auspicious times gives greater benefit) 3. Specific place 4. Specific seat or clothes etc 5. Keep good , holy company, or solitide. 6. Aesciticsm, Tapas, Drop all identiies before meditating.

As per Swamyjee's advice try to follow the following while doing meditation : 1. Be Regular in meditation, even if it's mechanical 2. Meditate at Fixed time daily and twice twice a day during sandhi time. Once after getting up early and getting freshened (4AM-5AM). Then in the Evening sun setting time, when darkness falls (6PM-7PM.). 3. Have an auspicious place, have a room or at least a corner at your home, where you can meditate daily. You can feel the vibration and meditate effortlessly 4. Completely avoid bad company. Of course if you start practicing Spirutuality seriously,such people would go away from your life. Keep holy company, otherwise Solitude is good. Kaivalya (aloneness) is Moksha. 5. Asceticism : austere living, Tapasya : don't be severe and be little less than comfortable. 6. Cast off all your identities before meditation. Nothing in world depends on us. Get completely detached from all the roles of your life.
