Female riders were twice as likely as their non-riding counterparts to feel “confident.” They were twice as likely, too, to feel “extremely satisfied” with their appearance.
More than half of those riders said the two-wheeled experience made them feel “free” and “independent.” And while they were marginally less inclined to say they “usually feel good” about their senses of humor and intelligence, they were almost twice as likely to say they “usually feel good”

I've been riding for over 35 years. Between 1999-2004 I was the 1st Officer of a riding club with 58 members. By 2004, my wife and I convinced 13 of our women passengers to get off the back seat and ride their own bikes including my wife. I missed having her on the back, but, i LOVED seeing her riding beside me! Ride on ladies!

I had a lady friend who was disabled and she would have her wheel chair strapped to the back of her bike for when she stopped. You don't get more out of a bike than that.

I once had to bongy cord my spare tire for my Z28 so I lowered rear foot peg set the spare on it and strapped her down I then drove to gas station to inflate the spare Quite the sight !? People were staring at me with amazement.Harleys are powerful beautiful stylish and versatile I will ride Harleys All my life . In fact I bought myself a Softail Springer for my 70 birthday in May . Plenty of respect for any touring bike sir, I ride a 09 1200 rt BMW, I used to ride an Electra Glide but had three bad car accidents and the Harley had too much vibration at the time so I changed bikes, I've heard they are all rubber mounted now, I have a very messed up back and had to go onto disability for a long time but riding a my bike makes my back feel better.

I assure you that not every American woman motorcycle rider is in love with Harley. The two best things about Harley are camaraderie and support. Many people like the lifestyle, but many people do not. Harley is ranked 5th in reliability, has a much higher cost of ownership, performs far worse than foreign counterparts and carries a premium price. There are ALWAYS options and you wont need a tattoo either.

The back seat isn't just for a woman. It's for anyone that doesn't have a license to operate a motorcycle (including any man that doesn't have a license to operate one). So who rides on the back of a motorcycle doesn't have anything to do with gender. It has everything to do with who has the key to the bike and the license to ride it, and who doesn't.

Whatever may have once been cool in the wannabe Sons-of-Anarchy cosplay world of leather chaps and prison tats will soon be buried under the sands of progress. While other motorcycle companies were innovating and improving performance, H-D was banking on the idea that Boomers would live forever. They had a century to catch up and they refused. Nobody will miss them.
