GUYS, IT'S THE DEATH OF INNOCENCE. The bells are in the melody of the dead baby. And like you said, it's like funeral bells. Ody is remembering when he chose to end an innocent life to save himself and his family. In this saga, he is once again faced with the same choice, and he once again chooses to kill his own innocence in order to survive.

Also, the church bells in "The Underworld" are ringing to the same tune as the part in "The Horse and the Infant" when Zeus tells Odysseus to kill Hector's son, and the violins in "The Underworld" mirror the descending harp scale from "The Horse and yte Infant".🤯 I didn't notice that before; thanks for showing us this, Mr. Jorgy Porgy! It's not Hector's son, it's Troy's son, Hector is the baby's name😂 "This is the son of none other than Troy very own prince Hector"! See😌

No, not really, the infant name is Hector; there is no comma between Prince and Hector in the lyrics, but yeah the city is Troy. The fathers name was not mentioned now that I looked back to the actual lyrics.

And according to the Odyssey, Astyanax, the infant Odysseus (in this retelling) threw off the wall, was the son of Troy's Prince Hector and Andromache.

@@user-jc4rg8nr9e I would like to additionally point out that Achilles already tied Hector's corpse to his (Achilles's) chariot and literally dragged him during the Trojan war as vengeance for Hector killing Patroclus. Achilles kept dragging the corpse until Paris finally shot him (Achilles). So no, Hector is not an infant, he was a dead body before the events in the song. Sorry 😐 I needed to say something

The callbacks and motifs in EPIC are what make it my absolute favorite musical. I can’t think of any other musicals off the top of my head that have so much detailed musicality. I love this callback so much!!! So hyped for the Underworld!!!

So I remember the ''Snippet'' of 'The Underworld' song, from a WHIIILE back, and I SPECIFICALLY REMEMBER the end of it, where Odysseus says - and I Quote: 🎵"~I keep thinking of the INFANT from THAT night... I keep thinking of the INFANT from THAT night...~"🎶 So, it would kiiinda make A LOT of sense that the Church Bells would be going off and that they would also come back at THAT moment!

I feel like this shows that Odysseus is haunted by the events with the infant from the Troy Saga since the toy box and church bells melody are very similar to the melody played when Odysseus found the baby

I love the bells and a look behind the curtain for the song stems but, when I first saw this I immediately thought you were assembling and scoring your music in garage band, I quickly noticed that it was a logic file but they are very similar in the UI Design. Love the sagas so far can't wait till the underworld saga comes out.

This callback to the infant reminds me of how I realized that ody takes zeus's melody in "a vision, of what is to come, cannot be outrun" when he sings "my comrades, the rest of our fleet, they wait at the beach" Or I was hallucinating cause I came to this conclusion as I waited for my exam (jee hehe) to commence.
