Post 2011 models got a 1200W 17 speaker version.

You would think that a car video channel would take a minute or two to read up on the car they are about to review. Didn't bother with sport mode, thought the ridiculously high end B+W sound system was inferior to Bose but didn't try it, confused a 360 horsepower V8 for a V6, doesn't know the difference between polished aluminum and stainless. Didn't know what the power distribution module was. Seemed surprised that the battery was mounted in the trunk. Shields? They are fender vents. How did the heated and cooled seats hold up after 10 years? Oh wait, you didn't try them. Didn't determine if the parksense system still worked in spite of noting the presence of the rear sensors. Called the stainless grille "honeycomb". How can you determine how a car holds up after 10 years if you don't bother inspecting the structure and underbody? How did it drive and handle? Still precise and tight or were there problems? Were there any strange chassis noises? Didn't bother to check. But oh no! The paint has some scratches! The headliner is sagging! And you say you SELL CARS? I'm assuming that when someone asks you a technical question about specifications your answer is "Gosh, I don't know. I'll have to look that up." Wow. Just wow.

I own a 2009 XK, 2011XF and they have held up great over the years, most of the interior issues are owner related, The audio system (Bowers & Wilks is top of the line system).

It’s hard to believe how this this design is 10 years old now because it’s held up pretty well (except for the infotainment screen). They actually still sell a facelifted version of this car today, so it’s probably due for a redesign in the near future.

I live in Charleston . I drive a 2010 Jaq XF Premium 4.2 with 78000 miles. I'm not surprised you did not know what B&W sounded like...but I'm not bashing you on it..you should have listened to it..you would have learned. We love our Jaq

I’ve got the dash warp issue in my 09 XK from the Georgia/Tennessee sun. They fixed the issue in 2010, as the leather had only been wrapped around the front 1/2” and glued, they stapled it and added a bit more length 2010+. About to hit 200,000 miles though!

My 2009 Jaguar XF Premium Luxury bought new and is still a pleasure to drive (128,000) 14 years later. Never gets old or boring. 100% dealer maintained and Ford B2B extended warranty. Exclnt B&W sound. No plans to stopping as a daily driver or selling. She will be the last car I will own. I have looked, but 2021-2 cars are shallow techy junk compared to my Jaguar.

Hello, I like your video. Just got myself a 2010 premium luxury supercharged, about 2 months ago. My Jaguar is in very good shape in inside and out. Nothing is broken and falling apart. I got it from a Jaguar dealer and I just love it. Super Super awesome car. I guest you will have to look for a single owner car, garage kept and a proud Previos owner. That will make all the difference. I always have been a fan of Jaguar, this is my first one, with 57 years of age, I am in love with this car. I have had a 4.2 liter, 300 HP 09 XF Premium for 12 years, 107K miles. To date has been a very good car. Excellent mileage, up to 28 miles a gallon on the highway if I keep my foot out of it, 25 MPG with my foot in it. Bowser Wilkins Stereo system is awesome, great separation. I've had Bose systems in my Corvettes, MBenz S Class, and SRX and the Bowers Wilkins system is far superior. I have the same metallic Indigo Blue as you test car with the same interior. Interior still looks new in my car. Difference in my Jag and the one in the video is I have factory chrome wheels that make the Indigo Blue POP. I still get complements on my car everywhere I go.

I found one with only 60k miles, one owner, should I get it or should I consider MAJOR problems it could have?

Great video. I've just bought a 2009 XF and I think this is a great concept for a video series. It's easy to find new car reviews but there is precious little information out there about buying a used car, and with even 10-15 y.o. larger cars still costing thousands it is both a big investment and a gamble, with little to go on but a short test drive and service history. I would say that in the rear interior I wouldn't think this is typical, as I've mentioned lower down there are plenty of pristine examples around, and 150k is a lot of miles to cover. Don't be put off by the trolls, Bowers & Wilkins are a premium British audio brand, known primarily for speakers and headphones rather than in-car systems (in fact I think the Jag deal is their one and only), but if you ask 9 out of 10 Brits what B&W made they probably wouldn't have a clue. I could name 50 high end brands that this lot have probably never heard of so I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised that nobody in the US has heard of B&W. If they had any sense they would have realised that too.

I think there’s a lot of people that are interested in buying decade old Sport/Luxury , high mileage cars with special engines/super/turbo , sporty suspension etc ... then customizing them. As long as none of them have their own unique major issues going on ( E60 M5 for example ) So.. this will be a good channel idea. Just make sure to point out the major issues that the car possibly could have. Cause you could get one for cheap, but 2 months later you end up with a problem that costs half of what you paid for the car itself! Wouldn’t get this car unless it wasn’t at least the R though... you can find them around 20k for a good one.

My XF 2011 is still going strong, have it for 9 years, I'll drive that beast until it dies on me. Well maintain, 105k miles, I don't see myself driving something else anytime soon. Highly recommend it to someone in the budget since they're pretty cheap now.

An XF V8 is a rare vehicle.

First of all where is the W in Jaguar this is in a very poor condition I have a 2009 there is no damage very little wear and is almost mint condition this car you have videoed has had a very very hard life. The entertainment system is a very high quality in the UK but as your American is why you don’t know it so don’t knock what you never heard of. The interior is all leather. That’s master fuse box and there are twi more in the car.

I have a 10 year old V6 3.0d Portfolio S XF twinn turbo diesel with a stage 2 tune dpf removed. Theres not alot that can beat it form the lights except your usual ferrari's etc 🤣🤣. Best car i eve bought. Everything works virtually unmarked interior and only 58k on the clock. Btw the way, the engine light is on in the car in this vid, walk away form it, walk away very quickly.

This XF was not the 420hp superCharged Edition.The supercharged version has a dual intake system with wo intake hoses leading directly into the intake manifold. This car was likely one of the lesser base models. Also on the trunk lid there is supercharged badging in crome, Definitely not polished aluminum. ; ) I’m actually on my way to go purchase the 420hp SC make f the XF. 0-60 4.9 secs. YikeS!
