Turning 70 this year, rediscovering myself daily, still looking for Magick. 😃

Turning 72 this year and am so grateful for that. I have friends who have passed that would have LOVED turning 72. At about 50, I decided I wanted to be a role model for how to age. Not by climbing Mt. Everest or having to-die-for abs, but being real. A few years ago, I went from teaching yoga classes on a mat, to chair yoga because, frankly, im not as graceful as i used to be. But i have the best time with yogis in their 70s, 80s and even in their 90s! And my witchcraft magic is all over my house and everyday. Rather than a practice, its the way i live. Finally retired last year at 75 and feel like I was just born into the world! I’ve never had the blessing of full days and seasons in my garden. I’ve embraced natural witchcraft and every day brings the joy of discovery. THANK YOU for your comments about the hype of tic-toc. I was beginning to feel that magick required diaphanous gowns and a thick layer of Sephora. I’m more about yoga pants and dirt. My garden is magic. The trees protect me, the birds, squirrels, deer and foxes are my friends. My new rose garden is bliss. I’m only 10 months old but my roots are ancient. So much to learn!!! Blessed be!!

I love how practical this spell is! I also love the message that we are all blooming in different ways all the time- just because one part of us is not in bloom doesn't mean that another part of is isn't. Media likes to tell everyone that there is only one stage women are beautiful in and it's wrong. I also resonate with the Maiden, Mother, Queen, Crone. I've actually been thinking about those a lot recently and how I feel that the quad is much more accurate than the triplet. Where have you been? I don't watch your channel because it's all beautiful and pretty and unobtainable. I watch you because I feel you are authentic and I want to learn. Your words of wisdom are greatly appreciated and you have a wonderful teaching gift. I am a 57 year old woman who began her practice in the 90's but then put it off due to lack of resources to learn and then motherhood. Now I am devouring information and somewhat regretting all of the years of knowledge I have missed. Your videos, to me anyway, are kind of like the friendly neighbor friend coming over in your house slippers for a cup of coffee and we sit around discussing all of the magical things together. If you were tik tok fake, I wouldn't watch you. You are beautiful just as you are! Please don't let all that fake social media define who you are.

I turned 50 this year! I feel being authentic, being myself and discovering the gifts that I was meant to be here at this time on earth to share and grow is where I’m at. Well hello there beautiful witch! I am a 57 year old witch and have been quietly practicing for many years. I am with you. Real magick is not Tik Tok. Pretty, yes. Real, probably not. You have inspired me to head out to my garden, and into my herb cabinet, and create a sachet/talisman. Rose petals, rosemary and maybe some calendula. Wishing you many blessings.

I’m 56 this year. When I was 17 I tried to make everything “picture perfect” now, magic is just part of my daily, messy, creative life. I do everything according to my intuition.

57 and have reached a time in my life where I'm upping my knowledge and experience by reading more specific texts, doing the deep dive on topics, so to speak. I thought I was ready to settle into my cronehood, but so not ready yet. I know two things. 1. Your house is perfect. Apart from regular upkeep, I don't see any need for change. Your house is genuine perfect - not obsessive-perfectionist perfect. 2. The idea we have one pinnacle in our life where we bloom and then it's over, as if life is linear with one trajectory, comes from patriarchy. It's so opposite to what nature teaches us, that everything happens in cycles. There's no one bloom and it's done. Everything ebbs and flows from one change state to the next. I see each stage of the cycle like a bell curve, gently curving up to the pinnacle for that stage, then gently curving down again to move onto the next stage and the cycles never end.

I love this message. I'm a 40+ in the mother stage. Very happy sitting in this spot. I'm shedding the magickal clutter and focusing on the magickal mundane and this shift has brought so much joy into my life.

I am almost 71 and find magic in so many things. I am also ADHD so having to do a "ritual" is not always possible so I too look for tiny things and small ways to infuse magic in my days. I visit our local botanical gardens frequently and hug trees and say hello to what is blooming that day. I feed the ducks, geese and fish. At home I do similar things with the moon shinng in my window or the bees that come to visit my tiny garden. Mostly I am grateful for every spark that comes my way. My life is small but deep, calm but exciting and uniquely mine! I really enjoy your videos.

I just turned 40 in December and I was really dreading it. I thought I would instantly feel old and no longer beautiful. But that wasnt the case. I'm happier than I've ever been and my craft is growing and feeling more natural each day. I'm always learning and trying new things, more so than in my 20's. I'm so glad this video showed up in my feed! I've never even been on tik tok, and rarely on instagram. I'm 62, and all I can say is life begins at 50, lol! That is when I realized I don't really care anymore what others think, I am who I am. I used to dream of a farm in the country, and turned my backyard into a mini farm with food/flower gardens, fruit trees, rabbits, dogs, cats. Life happened and now I have a condition where I cannot go out in the sun unless lots of sunscreen, and even then keep it minimal. So now I live in town, down the street from the grocery & dollar store, and Target. It's all good. I can do a LOT with candles and prayer beads and oils. So here I sit, late at night with my candle workings going, watching YT, and find you. Love your doggies! I subbed. ✌❤🧿🪄🪔🪔

I think we all want magic in our lives, and we want the candles and smoke and crystals…we want it all, the whole experience! But real life doesn’t always allow us the time to do all that, so we skip doing something, because we want ‘all the things.’ I believe you touched on a similar theme recently on working with our cards. I LOVE my private time for self reflection with my cards and would look forward to doing it, and then get busy and deny myself because of a time crunch. This kind of thinking is also passed on to other experiences of having to be a certain way or we’re not doing enough. I appreciate you reminding us of how to find and SEE the magic in life’s everyday moments.

I love the rose bush analogy! We are all going through stages in life that should be honored. And those stages rotate and change not just in correspondence with our age, but can be seasonal as well. Hiiii again.... You came up on my feed today and I am a teacher sitting at my desk binge watching your videos! I can do that because all my kids are on a senior trip today and I'm grading papers...lol I turned 50 in March and since I turned 49 I've almost cried everyday because life hasn't been anything close to what I imagined it to be and how scary and extremely disappointed I am to realize that. Being divorced and a single parent AND I had a baby 5 years ago made me feel like everybody was years ahead of me. But looking at this video and your last one about the long term spells I feel so much hope for myself and the future that I actually WANT!!! THANK YOU!! I'm a beginner witch and I'm seeing the difference more and more between being a witch for the aesthetic like a lot of ppl on TikTok are (because there's no way they do those rituals everyday) and being a real witch which I am learning is finding and making Magic in the everyday stuff. I find that after I watch a lot of tik toks i start to forget about that and it's finally when I watch videos like this that I remember what I like about this path again. Like for example I am finding out how special it is to use what I have around me and is relevant to me to make magic instead of following other ppls rituals / spells. I recently painted my own athame and it felt so magical and I know it's going to be ten times more powerful because It is so connected to me and my intentions. Went for a walk today on a new public trail I stop to observe a tree and look down and there is a piece of bark at my feet. So I pick it up, bring it home , when I look at it it looks 3d the outser piece looks like a bear standing upright, right underneath it there is a piece that looks like a man standing with his arms open and below that there is a piece shaped as a spirit. These are all layers on top of each other. So cool. Truly magical.

I’ve been extremely hard on myself lately, because I feel like I’m not doing enough with my spiritual practice and craft. There is so much I want to do and learn on a daily basis…from doing more rituals, pulling cards, to starting a grimoire, etc. I’m up at 5am, get to work at 7:30 and spend my day with a beautiful class of 8th graders and a number of dear colleagues..so many energies every day. It can get quite intense and overwhelming no matter how much I shield and ground. 💚

My Looms are setting up touched for years. Handspinning, soap making and crafts I found no joy in because of some health issues and abuse. 4 years ago one brother brought me honey bees. Another brother this year is teaching me the business of 🍯 honey bees. They started my journey back to life. Tilled me a garden space. I have herbs coming up again. Vegetable 🍆🍅garden is doing great. I started reading a book, The Invitation. I'm in the very 1st chapter. So far, it is really moving. I look forward to your videos, especially for the fact that we share so many similar things in life. It is great to have someone who gets it at my age (our age LOL), but who also isn't wishy washy or fake. For me, it's a "you get what you see" with me. And that can change, minute to minute, moment to moment, day to day. I have to fight hard to keep from slipping into darkness for long periods due to some of my MH and phys health issues. I agree with you. I totally get what you are saying. I have to say though, I’ve never watched your content and thought, I wish she had more candles, pretty altars, etc. I LOVE the way YOU craft. But…and I say this with so much respect to you and your lovely practice…this video? You’re kinda demeaning, mocking, and devaluing those witches who are aesthetic. I am a witch and a Libra and am all about the aesthetic “vibe” in my practice. My vibe is different depending on the sabbat, esbat and ritual. Setting up my altars in a way that is visually pleasing to me gives me that hit of dopamine and happiness just looking at it, let alone when I do my ritual. The whole set up of my rituals and ceremony IS part of my magical practice. If sharing my “beautiful’ altars and parts of my rituals attracts others to the craft and opens up an interest and curiosity within them….is that bad? Because my altar is aesthetically pleasing, doesn’t mean it is somehow superior or better. It also doesn’t make me less of a witch because I showcase my creative ability in my practice. Please don’t assume that what a witch shows aesthetically on social media is the only way that they practice and that their practice isn’t “real’”. It’s just the highlights of it. I see it so often in the craft where witches are quick to tear down other witches. They are quick to tell another witch that they are doing is “wrong”. Why? Isn’t our own path just that? Our own? We should be building each other up. A win for one is a win for all in the witchcraft community. While I may not agree with the way that others practice, who am I to suggest anything different? If it works for them, great! So what if they are young and pretty and new to the practice? (I am not. I’ll be 50 in this year and am personally looking forward to my crone phase) Again, if those young and new witches bring in other like-minded individuals who are curious….how is that bad? They will either continue to grow their practice and learn more about it or move on to something else. Either way, a win is a win for witchcraft. Mocking or badmouthing how others practice doesn’t make me or my practice look better. It’s the opposite of the message I want to give. I really try not to compare my practice with others, because that is an unhappy emotional state that I don’t want to invite in. I’m happy to boost another on their path, celebrate small victories, and mind my own cauldron. I really hope I didn’t upset you with my comments. I’m sure I’ll get some heat back and will have maybe offended someone. Not my intention AT ALL. Please know, as hard as it is for me to post this, I’m commenting to bring some awareness to all of us that not all witches practice the same. And that is actually a beautiful thing and celebrates the freedom of witchcraft. I wish you the absolute best of everything. Please keep showing us how YOU practice because it’s special, unique, raw, and simply magical. Just like you. Blessed be.
