Obviously, you weren't paying attention in 1980's because we used to do tge sane techniques. And the perfect lines were known as "tape make up". I wore my make up like that in my senior year photos in 1984

What I really love is that you’re defying all influencer convention of using the typical brands like UD, MAC, etc. You’ve proven that any tool and reasonable product is possible with the right techniques. I mean, who would be incredibly brave to say that you’re using a Sally Hansen lash curler when everyone in Asia embraces Shu Uemura or Shiseido as the mandatory lash curler? This is important as impressionable young girls need more role models like you to realise that they can create beauty with ordinary products. Thanks for being you!

I'm not a beginner but I enjoy watching the Different techniques you use and how easy and cost effective they are. Makeup is so over hyped by influencers so i think many beginners or older people wanting to update their makeup routine could easily be Discouraged by people pushing high end/intricate makeup. i don't wear make up but love watching tutorials. used to wear makeup when i was younger but i sucked at applying it. all the tutorials from when i was like 15-17 never actually taught how to apply eyeshadow and other makeups in a way that was beginner friendly. this makes me want to go back and try doing eyeshadow (and others, eyeshadow was the one i really couldn't get to work for me tho) again so thanks!

Another great how-to video! You explain every step so well. I just wish the skin on my lids wasn't so fleshy. I have been told that for my age (62), my eyes aren't as bad as I think they are. Ha! Can't wait to try all 3 of these techniques. I've never used liquid eyeliner or a pencil liner. I do use a dark eyeshadow in the outer corners of my eyes. You're gorgeous as ever!

Yes Smitha! I would love seeing more videos like this one. I have issues getting my eyeshadow primer and shadows to look smooth on a more mature eyelid. It's like having to learn how to do eyeshadow all over again

Same here. Some of the techniques I've tried from other tutorials involve so much product that it cracks thereby defeating the whole purpose. Love Smitha!

You are astoundingly talented! Thank you for sharing your wonderful, easy-to-use beauty application techniques. The best part about makeup is if you don't like what you see, it comes off with soap and water - NOTHING is permanent. There are so many beautiful color palettes to choose from and we don't need to be limited to brown or gray eyeshadow and you've certainly demonstrated that!! :o)

For the first time EVER I have manager to achieve a look close to the one on tutorial. I have never applied eyeshadow well! It always felt so harsh...I didnt know how easy it is to take less product 😅 it feels like I have been applying 3x that amount and always wondered "how to make it less dark" 🙈
