Do you have advice for working with programs that booger up the audio length? Sometimes when I transcode a file into a different frame rate, like 30 fps to 24 fps, the two audio files are slightly off, and the synch drifts. This happens in Topaz Labs

Is there any way to synchronise audio from the project folder like in davinci? It's a huge annoyance to try to cram everything into the timeline everytime you wanna drag in a clip

is there any reason why premiere tells me after sync function "Could not synchronize one ore more clips in the current selection because a match could not be found"? I tried "track channel 1" but "Mix Down as well. Its funny because I make beatmaking video and the wave forms are identical. I tried manualy as well, "but show audio time units" reacts on clips same way as moving with frames. I will be very grateful for the help.

I tried to sync Audio from camera und a Zoom mobile recorder and Premiere keeps failing. Tried all the tips from changing audio chanels and using the mix. Anybody know this problem and can help?

This does not work with two analog recorded source from our Bauer 16mm films (which is the good audio) and 16mm film and camera setup (so sound and video are recorded at the same time. Premiere just returns that it could not find matching audio, despite the fact that they are but recorded with different devices. So, if you want to sync analog audio together, you are out of luck. You'll have to painfully align everything, including the videos... I really wish there was an easy shortcut for this for my use case.

Question: what determines which layer moves when using Synchronize? Experiencing that the wrong audio track is moving into sync and thereby moving all others out of sync (Im making a music video based on various contributions to the same song).

I found your video searching how to do a very specific synchronization task, but I didn't find it in your video. Do you happen to know if it is possible to specify which region will serve as the anchor for the other regions to sync to? For example, you may have several short audio regions you want to sync at different locations with a long master region (say there were several short sound effects you recorded with another mic and you only want to sync those with the long region). You would want to be sure that the short regions move to sync with the long region and not the other way around. So you would think you could click the long region and set it as an anchor then move the short regions relative to it. But I can find no way to do this - when you choose two regions and select synchronise, Premiere just seems to pick which region to move and which to keep still - it gives the user no control over it that I can see. Do you know if there is a way to choose?

My issue is that when I use this method, the synchronization is not perfect. It just gets me very close. It's off by a couple frames...just enough to be noticeable....so I have to always tweak things after the sync. Any idea what could be causing a less than perfect sync?

Somehow, it won't synchronize my audio properly. I noticed a glitch where the video skipped so I cut their parts in half hoping PP would recognize them as separate audio files now, but it still thinks it's part of a further section and I don't know how to manually move the audio effectively. I'm about less than half a second misaligned.

I have tried this and used both trouble shooting techniques but Syncronize is *still* unavailable.. All clips are on their own tracks, all tracks are targeted, and all clips are highlighted. What am I missing?

They gave me one file that has the main camera and side be camera in one file, when I click synchronize one of the videos and audio tracks just completely disappears… I tried nesting too

The fact that it's 2022 and you can't just sychronize multiple clips and corresponding audio files with one or two clicks (something like 'synchronize all' on the sequence) is a perfect example of Adobe's ridiculous priorities. Also, don't get me started on codec adoption (ex. NRAW).

Ahhh I see how it works now - this feature does not "look" at the video portion at all. It only syncs two different audio tracks, assuming one of them is in sync with the video. If you are trying to fix a clip where the included audio is off-sync, you cannot fix it with this feature, and you must do it manually. Very possible when recording a live stream.
