Tony made Ultron cause of his feeling that the Avengers weren't enough to protect the entire planet, yeah it may have been fear (whether its because of Thanos or something else) but it was for a good cause. Tony may have indirectly caused basically every major and minor problem in the MCU but at least he followed a path for redemption and got it

If we go far enough, Wanda is partly responsible for what Tony did, since she gave him the vision of the destruction of the Earth and made him even more paranoid because of PTSD. Also, although not directly related, she gave Thor the vision of the Ragnarok, making him dissapear from Earth until the very end of Infinity War when he was one of the most powerful avengers

Avengers already broke up in civil war due to accords even before Zemo entered the scene. So, to say Avengers breaking up because of him is a big joke. However, he is the reason why they never patched up.

Thanos never wanted to defeat the Avengers He could have killed Tony after receiving the time stone Could have killed Quill and the other guardians when he took the reality stone He could have killed Thor in that ship along with loki and hammidal He could have killed Hulk, Steve, Wanda in infinity war if he wanted to All he wanted was to bring balance in the universe He dint give a shit about Avengers man

His only sole motivation is breaking down a powerful, or even the powerful heroes of the earth to pieces. And to do that without actually touching one of the avengers is just amazing. A strategist indeed.

What’s nice about Zemo is that he knows what he is doing is wrong. He is actually just a sane guy. He doesn’t actually blame The Avengers for his family’s death, but he took his grudge on them which resulted the team breaking up. He felt bad for accidentally killing T’Challa’s family and was going to commit suicide when his mission was done. Aside from Loki, Agatha, and Thanos, Zemo is definitely my favorite villain in the MCU.

@@oldtimebooks5378 right before the end fight of civil war, tony told cap, that cap wasn't actully stupid, and made sense. The reason Tony came to cap before the end fight was not to fight or arrest steve, but the help steve becuase he thought steve might be onto something. This shows that they avengers weren't completely broken, even after the accords. Also, one of the main reasons cap rejected the accords was because he wanted to find Zemo and bring justice to bucky or whatever. This was also part of Zemo's plan. I don't think the avengers would've had a war if zemo wasn't involved, even if the accords took place.

Yes. He works so well for two reasons. You've mentioned the first one (he is relatable, he doesn't have a stupid master plan, and so on), but the second one is the fact that the whole plotline makes sense. It works because it's a good conflict, where you can easily side with each character involved. There isn't a bad guy, just a conflict of interest, so to speak. Bucky isn't really responsible but killed Tony's mom. Steve cannot just idly stand by and watch his best friends kill each other. Tony might understand that Bucky isn't to blame, but he won't accept it. This is how the conflict should be written. Like always. You need competing interests instead of "I'm bad" - "We good guys will stop you".

@@afnansamdani788 Is it tho? I mean since they couldn't defeat thanos the first time they had to time travel in order to undo the thanos effect. That ended up in Tony and Natasha being dead, Steve and Hawkeye retired, thor is off world, Hulk is injured, Scarlet has gone nuts. Tony and Steve where the central figure in the Avengers, now that those 2 are gone there is now no one to hold the Avengers together (A leader figure essentially). So ya in a way he did achieve what he set out to do.

And you cant quite just brush away the fact that half the umiverses population went dusty for 5 years amd then simply returned. If the avengers were still 1, and were all together in the hq, they could have probably have taken him down. I'd say that the blip happened only because of zemo's actions

Zemo's attitude is somewhat similar to Loki. In 'The Avengers' Loki decided to use Hulk to escape the helicarrier and Zemo used Winter Soldier for avenging his family. They both are a menace but soft by heart.

It wasn't comic accurate. All it was a mask. The mask is of similar colour but not the same. He didn't even wear the suit which he has in comics. All he wore was a shitty purple looking similar mask

Loki began the chain of the desaster by sending an alien army to the earth (start the PTSD of Tony Stark) Ultron was a creation by Tony Stark because of his PTSD, believing the Avengers wouldn't be enough for a second attack. He destroyed Sokovia causing Zemo to hate the Avengers as a whole (not without reason) Thanos was the last piece (Zemo came in between) when the avengers were separated and caused the famous blip, where half the entire population dissapeared.

Baron Zemo has a good heart. When faced with a difficult choice, like for example when he was chasing Carly and she dropped the super soldier serum, he paused and starred at the serum as if tempted to take it, just before destroying it. Goes to show that even a man like Zemo is tempted with power but chooses to overcome it. That’s why I believe Zemo is powerful than Thanos, because when faced with a decision that he could decide to take that power and use for himself to change the world like Thanos did, or he can decide to reject that power because like thanos after he would have completed his goal that power becomes nothing but temptation and is forced to destroy that power. Zemo didn’t and still doesn’t have special powers and he doesn’t need them. He is the wisest and most patient man in the MCU. Zemo was such a successful villain because he exploited the biggest human flaw in the Avengers: Tony Stark. Of all the characters in the Avengers roster, Stark was easily the most potentially problematic one in terms of attitude and personality, and this could be seen in all the Iron Man films as well, where each time a villain "made things personal" for Stark, he'd start to veer more towards doing irrational or impulsive things, sometimes even endangering his friends in the process. And he never changed for the better. Even as late as Endgame after the snap he still held on to his petty grudges from Civil War and only begrudgingly decided to help out because of his guilt trip over losing Spiderman -- the Avengers were just lucky that his 'helping' out didn't turn out to be another Ultron or Sokovia Accords.

He legit succeeded. Now most of the avengers are dead: Ironman, Cap (the real one), Black Widow, Vision are all dead. Wanda has vanished mysteriously, Spiderman is on the run & wanted by the police (thanks to Beck). The remaining avengers are all separated and some are not even on earth anymore (Thor etc)
