I think investors should always put their cash to work, especially in 2024, we'll start to see more market diversification. I’m up 67% from last year with a 7 figure portfolio well positioned with good blue chip companies and I have stop losses in place. Personally with insights from my adviser Anna Rounds Fay, I prefer to invest in large cap companies which have economic moats, large cash flows and strong balance sheets. Some of which are AAPL, MSCI, IUKD, VHYL, SCHD, NVDA and Barclays.

My expectation is for 2024 that markets starts to broaden out more,” what if the interest rates go up? i have a ton of questions....can I safely invest my $800k? I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my portfolio for retirement, but don't know where to start.

It's crucial to have a well-thought-out strategy and not make impulsive moves based on short-term market fluctuations. Patience and a long-term perspective are key. You should consider a market expert to guide you

Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2019, and I return at least $21k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

I’m not a fan of thematic etfs, but one makes sense. Cybersecurity. The more complex tech and A.I. get the more complex security needs to be. If you’re a blue chip cio in a downturn then cyber is the one area that you won’t want to cost cut. I agree that the qqq is too high now, but a cybersecurity etf is unlikely to bomb as much in a downturn

Thank you, I have a question regarding the DCA, it is said that you should invest the same amount every month, but what happens if I receive a significant amount in a single month... or in different months, the DCA then changes since I would invest what I have to that month plus this additional income. The way I have detected that I feel calmer is that in additional or important income I put 50% at once and the rest 50% in DCA for the next 6-12 months. Can you give me your point of view on this, I don't know if I'm losing the meaning of DCA with this decision. Finally, in individual actions, DCA is also recommended or the moment of entry into that position is more important. Regards

Right now the market is getting overvalued as a whole, and I'm moving slowly toward interest bearing cash. I'm still holding HYD, which will increase in cap value if interest rates are cut, which I foresee in the next 6 mos. Now that it's end year, I'm integrating this with tax-loss harvesting as Dec 15 options expire, and will have moved heavily into cash by early Q2 2024. Summer will be rough, I'll look into re-entering equity by September.

Dividends are nice but what good does it do you when the share price drops 10% - 20%. SCHD is down 10% from 2021 levels and last year was down as much as 16%. In that timeframe dividends were in the 3% to 3.5% range - hardly enough to offset the loss of market value. You would be far better off investing in short-term Treasury bills or CDs earning 3% - 5% in that period and there would be no loss of equity. Way better return and risk-free. No contest.

I used to like these ETFs until I heard they vote with your shares on ESG objectives with the shares they own. Is Strive a good alternative given their ETFs own the same stuff but don’t vote for ESG nonsense with your shares?

Paul looks like he's slumped. I couldn't figure it out and then I did. His shirt and his chair are blending into each other.

kind of funny, the real valuable info about investments are in videos like this one and it only has 26k views. However a tons of KZfaqrs with BS investment advices get 500k views. I don't get it.
