I'm going to try soaking it overnight in vinegar, one of mine that is the flip up straw style that's kind of soft & rubbery, & I cannot for the life of me get the mold out. I've tried scrubbing it with a tiny brush, & it just won't dislodge all of the mold. It's almost like it's embedded into the straw.

Throw it away. Once it’s already gotten to the point of mold, it’s time to throw it out.

This is silly lmao. Just use a dentastick & scrap the inside of the mouthpiece out. Pour a little alcohol down there & boom. It's sanitizer & all that carbon is gone.

Hi, Melissa, you left out the best solution - dishwasher-safe water bottles and lids. Dishwashers use less water than hand washing, and the bottles and lids can easily be cleaned every day.

A day is a stretch if youre drinking out of a bottle daily you only really have to wash it every few days or if you left it over 24 hours i would wash it too.

I wash mine once a month. It's a filter. All the bad stuff is gone. I just wipe the mouthpiece off with alcohol every now & then.
