It’s interesting to note the different trends between both countries during the time. In the early 60’s, it was all about modernism and futurism in America, “the world of tomorrow”, whereas Great Britain was more on the understated, stuffy, “old money” side.

How ridiculous ! This is total hearsay about Mrs. Kennedy. She would have never said anything to the Queen or anyone else outside of her private circle. I imagine Mrs. Kennedy did think the Palace was rather a let down. Mrs. Kennedy was almost Universally worshiped all over the world and she was an expert at diplomacy.

Exactly. Whatever her critique of Buckingham Palace or the Queen's fashion ,it was NOT said to Her Majesty's face. Jackie fancied herself a fashion and style expert and any negative views were only coming from that perspective. I agree with her about the Queen's hair and clothing but it was the way the Monarchy was- very conservative in the traditions

Alot of things in The Crown were not factual . Jackie showed respect for the Queen in 1965 in England by curtsy during a memorial tribute to JFK there. JFK Jr and Caroline did the same. Many people do not understand protocol with American heads of state regarding Royalty. As a citizen it is acceptable to curtsy members of Royalty out of respect but as a member of government it is frowned upon. No one would've wanted to be in Jackie O's,s shoes. See how well you come out of a couple of miscarriages,losing a baby ,( Patrick) and witnessing your family member getting their brains blown out sitting beside them

The widow of the President is a hugely sympathetic figure but First Widow is not strictly speaking a government post. Actually neither is First Lady but she does function as a diplomatic extension of her husband even without any actual authority. Given the personal connection between the two ladies and the symbolic gesture of condolence by our greatest ally, I think Jackie was not wrong to curtsy. It would’ve also been acceptable if she had not. I’m sure the monarch does not expect such deferences from the former colonies.

Jackie was really stunning BUT….her son JFK Jr, ooooooh la la he was probably the most incredibly handsome man ever! So sad he’s gone! And The Crown made Jackie out to be flirty with Philip but I domt think it was said she was.

She had just come from a visit to France where they fell all over her. They embraced her as one of them since her maiden name was Bouvier . She spoke to them in French

The Queen was head and shoulders above jackie. After john died she showed her true colors marrying Onassis. Look up when she was on a boat with onassis and. His employees found them. Never stopped fu*&i#€! Even when someone was there!

The queen was and always has been a dowdy woman,whereas Jackie was pretty,classy,taller and more worldly than Lizzy.. if I was invited to dinner by both,I would choose J hands down...she wouldve been sooo much more fun..As far as J having sex all over the shop,thats what lovers do..to say she had sex in front of other people is only your fantasy margaret lol
