Hey Famous you tuber Roman Atwood Did a podcast w his brother about this. His brother had radon poisoning. Very good to cover this. esp areas high in radon.

Have you asked if the levels change with the seasons at all, the heat from summer days can change things a lot.

The only problem is the systems to avoid this issue are well out of peoples price range to even care. Especially now with inflation.

Home do it yourself radon test kits are also available. Also, out side vapor extraction systems can be installed. State and federal governments should have guidance to help with testing and remediation.

4 pCi/L is equal to smoking 8 cigarettes a day, 2 pCi/l is equal to 4 cigarettes a day and so on. How they decided to use 4 as the threshold is beyond me, all homes should be mitigated and just be done with it but we live in a world where everyone wants to be responsible and safe until its time to right a check to fix the problem, then somehow its miraculously OK to have elevated radon levels.

A two day test is almost meaningless regardless of what equipment they used. You would have been better off just buying some digital monitors and putting them on each floor of your house and monitoring them for at least a year unless radon levels become elevated. Radon can fluctuate by a factor of 10 or more. It could show 1.3 pci/L one week, then 13 pci/L.

Does this include trailers? My brother and I are renting one and I would like to know. We sit above ground so maybe since we don't have a basement we're safe. I doubt that our landlord would pay the $100.00, he's not very good at keeping our trailer up and he lives in Idaho. Thank you for any information. Happy trails to you. God bless.
