In my mind, she ought to be disqualified because she a signed an important document with reading it, without weighing its validity, without weighing its meaning…. She says it does not reflect her beliefs. Did she sign it blind because she wanted to be in the ‘in’ group? Did she sign it as written without modification because her friends signed it? A signature is your word and should be binding.

These judicial positions ought not to be life tenure- term limits, 5 year term, 10 years max- after 5 years, reevaluate- give another 5 or the boot AND make salary cap $100k. Lifetime appointment makes for idle and complacent minds- promotes weakness/laziness- what makes them so precious they get a lifetime job? Slipping through the cracks due to what Senator Kennedy just said “shame on us (for nominating and approving them!)” is unacceptable.

Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye !!!! All politicians and all judges should have a limited term and not a lifetime appointed position! Yes, I know that politicians are re-elected but limit to how many years and terms they can serve. I am a senior (76) but I have watched the same men and women for most of my life sitting in the same seat and performing the same antics and disruption. And it should not cost millions of dollars to be elected and re-elected to an office; it is the one with the most financial backing that will win the coveted spot and not necessarily the most qualified to hold that position. If the highest office in our nation has a limited term of two terms, why in the blazes is there not a limited term for our other important government positions????? And.....why in the world are these people not vetted better? If they state anything that is a proven lie or withhold information on their application form, then they should be prosecuted for lying on a Federal level. One, maybe two more things, who agrees that someone voting for their own pay raises is NOT a good thing? And yet, our government leaders are constantly passing increases of pay for themselves. I say, let the voters decide if the people they voted into office are worthy and deserve pay raises !!!! Second, when these leaders fly, let them pay for it themselves and NOT hitch a ride on a presidential plane, or a private plane and when they do fly, let them pay for the first class seat upgrade from coach when they fly on public transportation. Treating our government employees as though they are royalty is outrageous.

Yes, impeachment is the sole remedy to remove a corrupt judge. However, there are numerous corrupt judges currently in place and congress does not have the plums to correctly remedy it.
