I just test-rode one of these for the first time (2009 model) and HO LY CHEEZE BALLS! That SOHC engine is a TORQUE MONSTER! LOOOOVE IT! My favorite dirt bike engine ever! They went to DOHC after 2011 I believe, which softened the torque quite a bit, but now I'm hunting for one of these older beauties!

Waaayyy late to this video but just curious, did yours ever have any issues with cold starting? If the temp on mine is below 50 it just cranks until the battery dies. Above 50 and it fires on the first crank. Mines the 09 505xcf but my understanding is the 505 is the 450 bored out basically

Im putting a light on my 530 for hot summer days go out in night you will like shocks easy to ajust and 2 clicks make a big diff

I just picked up a 2011 husaberg 450 fe. Plan on making it a supermoto. In 11 husaberg has all ktm parts. I got a good deal on it. I also got it cause you don't see a husaberg everyday. I wanted something different.

If clutch acts up bleed it once in awhile i got to do mine ever 50 or so hrs

It depends on where you're talking about me liking it more than my 2013. If it's in the trails, of coarse I'll like it more. On the track I highly doubt I'll like it more than a full blown race bike but I guess we'll see.

Very nice bike. What wind guards are those? I got some moose bark busters and trying to find the wind guards that mount like yours.

Hello,This is old video but do you prefer 2 stroke or 4 stroke for me? My riding style is not agressive.Sometimes little accelerations and stuff.Also HUGE need for me is the mileage.I drive very long distances.Sorry for my bad english.Good video!

I wouldn't recommend an sx if you aren't track riding, but the xc ones are great too

What do you think of the weight? I ride a 1996 Yamaha WR250z currently, and I'm looking to upgrade to a a thumper, while the WR isn't exactly a lightweight fully loaded with fuel, it looks like the 450 wouldn't weigh that much more?

It didn't feel too heavy, I never was bothered by the weight anywhere

Send It With Ethan Yes I have a normal clutch and I have to give it a lot of throttle to get into 1st without the bike stalling

hydraulic clutch issues, typical KTM problem. I have the same problem on my 2009 ktm 450 sxf

I’ve only had one other but it was a 2 stroke, this bike was insanely reliable for the time I had it, which tends to be the case with any trail bike
