I actually downloaded the game in an attempt to stop the adds from showing up on my phone. Now here I am, 2 years and about $500 later... still playing the game... and still getting the awful adds.

A year ago, I downloaded the game to make these ads stop. So I guess they succeeded in their approach after all.

I would like to point out that the second ad is made by Squire, and knowing his video style, it is very similar. If anything, he probably just did the ad mostly for the memes and not the money

12:22 yall notice that the hud has an insane amount of gems. They are literally setting your brain Up to see that as normal. These adds might be pathetic but they also have very small Manipulationen Tricks in them. These people know what they are doing and so does Lilith know who they hired for These adds. The Viking ad has the guys from the "Squire" youtube channel. They do a lot of comedy sketches dealing with gaming videos. They're kind of like a lower budget, dumbed down, british version of "Viva La Dirt League". That's just their style of comedy. Their shtick has gotten them almost half a million subscribers, so they're doing something right.

The problem is they are so good at beeing bad that people remember it. I actualy had to show my dad one ad because i found it so funny how bad it was. Eddit: And yes i started playing the game because of the adds but i ignored them for months and just got interested because of the graphics and nothing more.

Thank you for pin pointing these ads fatal flaws, I've been talking about since they started their cringe promotions. What kind of marketing ploy is that, their ruining the uniqueness of the game and wasting lots of Kraken's money it really hurts me to the bone. A lots of ideas out there then they come up with these ridiculous, terrible and most cringe schemes I've ever seen, with all that said ROK should knew better than this. Their ads literally butchering this top tier game and that's like a dagger to my heart. If they want to come up with great ads idea come up with a lot of them then choose the best or why don't they just simply get ideas from Dota adverts that would be insane! I have no clue at all how did their brilliant intellect arrive at this kind of rubbish.

Something that I never understood is why don't they buff the japanese civilization, like seriously what reason do people have to pick it? commander isn't great and buffs are really bad compared to other civilizations, at the very least they could change the scouting buff to 10% action point recovery when the map is fully explored, with that it would actually become a civilization that you may want to start with then change at mid level.

If Lillith is going to promote a civilization at least . Britain , France , Germany , Or China. No one actually uses Egypt , people would use Korea instead of Egypt. And Japan is only good for Gathering and Farm accounts.

I think they’re just trying to get people to try it, with the philosophy that as long as they get people to try the game for 5 minutes the point of their ad is complete. I don’t remember why I downloaded the game, but I’m positive it wasn’t because of this ad. Maybe I just randomly found it on the App Store when I was bored. Honest question, but could you not actually play huge P2W and at the end refund evrything and if it goes to court you can argument that the add was just missleading. like they litteraly cannot do anything about it. at the end you just need to proove that you thought that this game will have gameplay as the add at the end but when you reached end game you figured out it is not like it. what they gonna do about that lol? i mean not that i recommend doing it btw! but i just wonder.

I think these ads are more about hearing the title of rise of kingdoms rather than being actually representative of the game. At some point everyone gets bored, heard 6 months ago this title, sitting at home in bed and get a recommendation on the play store. You're much more likely to download it and then you can still decided for yourself whether you like it or not 👍👍👍👍
