I think Phil is confusing the GT3's Mezger engines with the completely redesigned 9A1 direct injection motor which started with the regular Carreras in the 997.2 update. Production Mezgers never received direct injection as far as I know.

except the 997.2 GT3 still uses port injection...not direct injection. 997.2 cars that retained the Mezger engine (GT3 (RS) & GT2 RS) did not have direction injection and were also the last 911s with Mezger engines.

Center locks aren’t exactly lighter, just easier and faster at pit stops. The mezger never got direct injection

You can turn off PSM/ETC/nannies on the 991.1 and .2 GT3. Are you saying that even with them "off" they're still on in some way?

He is and it's the biggest piece of bs I ever heard. And his gt3 has the worst tc and sc of all gt3's, very intrusive, 997 gt3 rs is better, 4.0 was even bettet, 991 gt3 much better, right now you don't even need to put everything off to avoid intrusiveness
