I went into this review thinking I would hate the new 2022 MINI Countryman JCW. It's an overpowered, overgrown shopping trolley right?!?! To some, sure. But this SUV has everything I would look for in an SUV. Loads of room, quality interior, fire-breathing engine, and a great driver. Today I'm going to show you why I think the new 2022 MINI Countryman John Cooper Works is one of the best small family SUVs you can buy!

The BMW is just more premium, although it shares a lot with this Mini right down to the centre console armrest, but thankfully without the round display in the centre. The Mini is fine for British patriots, I guess.

I have a 2011 Cooper S Countryman All4 and Dec 2020 got a loaner X2 while my Mini was being serviced. Obviously my Mini is 10 years behind in bells and whistles but is still more fun to chuck into a corner. Was happy to give the X2 back. It's a personal taste thing though. I'm very happy with the 50's fighter jet aesthetic.

I ordered the mini…it’s an extremely niche vehicle and not cheap but man did I enjoy driving it. And at the end of the day I wanted something different, there are so many BMWs, golf Rs and Tesla model Ys around me, but I’ve yet to see a countryman JCW. Am I crazy? Probably.

I traded in a Mercedes SL 55 for a Mini Countryman and the only thing I miss is the insane torque of the sl. Other than that it is such a much better, funner car!

Just ordered mine in Metallic Black with matt black decals and i cant wait! I should have it in around a week or so. Already have the 3-door facelift JCW in White Silver Metallic so this will make my two car garage a complete JCW lineup :D

Great video! I just pre-traded my 2008 MINI Cooper S sidewalk edition convertible and will trade my 2014 JCW Countryman All4 towards my order of a 2023 of the same model. I love, love, love these cars and can’t wait for the new one. Thanks for the sneak peek! That exhaust is badass!

the JCW is an awesome trim but I think it's great if you want a family vehicle that you can also take to the track. Personally I'd be happy with the S Trim.

I just bought a 2022 Countryman S (not the JCW) and I love it so far. It replaces a VW Golf GTI, a comparable vehicle and I like the Mini quite alot more, especially the ride and charm factor.

If you think the price is nuts, I sat in a Skoda Octavia RS for $55k that had manual adjust (uncomfortable) bucket seats.

Already bought 3 Countrymans... and January its time to get another.... But I'm in the well do I buy the 2022 JCW or the All 4...... I guess January it might snow and the All 4 is great ? But I have a 2016 JCW with the Full Chilli Pack.... x3 spoilers.. and its so fast!! Love them all!!

It’s my favorite color but with the clubman doors in the rear. The hatch is too short and my back is too old I’ll take the barn doors thanks it’s just the lazy in me

for 50,000 dollars or 45,000 you can get a bmw 330i or 228i instead that’s the problem. it’s unfair. I have a countryman front wheel drive and it’s fun but it’s got nothing in it not even wireless charging

It got most technologies exept the stupid gadgets no one want like wireless charging... it doesnt have the ultra gimiky techs and that it, but no car lover actualy care about this. Also it isnt as expensive as the BMWs

@@michaelschneider1365 its not that much lower cost but yeah id want to try one to see but I strongly doubt it will be as fun as a BMW though as cadillac arent known for driving pleasure

@@ASecureLab but i see reviews say the v and blackwing are an m3. so sport is probably same just less engine. but yeah if the price is right the caddilac might be bmw 228 grand coupe or 330i. so will see. have to drive it and see.it’s definitely priced almost 10-20 thousand dollars better.
