The 2022 Nissan Terra has landed on Philippine shores, and it has received a major update. It is still called the 2021 Nissan Terra, and not the 2022 Nissan X-Terra that the Middle East gets. Still based off the Nissan Navara platform, the 2022 Nissan Terra VL gets a major facelift in the exterior and cabin areas. In this Filipino car review, we take a tour of the updated 2022 Nissan Terra VL 4x2 to see what changes were made. The updates now make the 2021 Nissan Terra VL 4x2 a good contender against the Toyota Fortuner Q, the Mitsubishi Montero sport, the Ford Everest Sport, and the Isuzu MU-X. The 2021 Nissan Terra VL 4x2 is the best variant in the line up, since it has all the features and the looks of the 2022 Nissan Terra VL 4x4, but more affordable by P300,000. The pricing is the same as the Toyota Fortuner Q, which has a more powerful engine, but the 2022 Nissan Terra VL offers more space than its Toyota rival. The 2022 Nissan Terra VL is being offered as the 2022 Nissan X-Terra in the Middle East. The Nissan Terra is sold in Thailand, Australia, Malaysia, and others.

Terra has a more space/comfier ride om the street. Fortuner is presumably sturdier, and of course, has the brand.

Hope you include dash buttons too. Didnt see what i was looking for. Cruise control button position, headunit controls, extra features of vl variant and the one i was looking for, rear diff lock button. If there is one.

But the top-spec Terra VL 4x4 is P340,000 more than the VL 4x2. Upgrades over the VL 4x2 include 9-inch touchscreen and BOSE speakers.

Maganda na sana pero tinipid ni NIssan ang Size ng Tires. 255 60R18, 255 really? Nissan baka naman pwede nyo na gawin atleast 265. Para magmukhang wider ang tires. Sayang ang improvements nakalimotan yata isama ang tire size.

The warranty is good, but the engine durability is average at best due to the weak timing chain construction and many other problems in the Terra's YD25DDTi engine.

@@mushimushimushi9176 I am an aspiring PPV buyer in to be bought in second hand or even brand new so I will choose Isuzu as the best PPV brand due to the consistent quality and durability of 4JJ1/4JJ3, 4JK1 and RZ4E engines plus similar reliability as the Toyota PPVs but Toyota quality is slightly going downhill that the current GD series engines and even the earlier KD series engines aren't known for impressive durability compared to Isuzu engines and it is only reserved in their 1VD-FTV engine in the way more expensive Land Cruiser 200. So, in my opinion, the Alterra/MU-X is the better and cheaper alternative to the Land Cruiser/Land Cruiser Prado vehicles in terms of sheer durability and reliability.

@@RoxasMarcEfrenA yes,we have mu-x and it’s really reliable,some owners have minor issues which is normal,but fortuner already have a recall since 2016 in jerky transmission and gd engine issue in alternator,but toyota has better after sales service than isuzu,the advantage of isuzu and toyota is availability of spare parts and mechanics who can do pms,you can also use local fuel filter without an issue,but our mu-x use genuine parts,going 5 years and still good.
