Bogger solution- carb it with an older Suzuki samauri intake setup and distributor- its plug and play. Then if you wanna get real crafty, cut the distributor base in half, weld a 10’ shaft in it, weld a sleeve back over it, and extend the pickup wires/plug wires and have it up over the truck!

It`s the Dale Truck that got me watching your channel. I am a big Dale Sr. fan and seen the thumbnail of the Dale truck, the one where the cops pulled you over. I have not missed a video scene. Keep up the good work and DO IT FOR DALE! Keep boggin brothers.

Cleetus, I'm a huge fan of the channel. I have some suggestions for the Mini Bogger. I would transplant the Gas engine with a 4 cylinder Diesel with Marine Electronics. other than that I would try finding all marine components, alt, starter, Distributor, etc. you had a good idea for the computer by placing it in a sealed box. I would run the exhaust above the roof line . for going in the water reduce buoyancy, take the doors off and maybe putting those tube steel half doors like the jeeps have for safety, and removing the back glass so the water will flow freely throughout the vehicle and it will be more stable. I would drill holes in the roof so there wont be any air pockets. and last that i can think of is fill the tires with water. With that done and less chance of tipping over and your reducing the buoyancy and increasing traction. Just a thought. thanks for you guys amazing content.

Been involved in a few Circle track builds and we always put a few degrees of yaw in the rear axle to track around corners better. Getting some measurements from a simple 4 wheel alignment would be a good start for the Dale truck.

You should just do a VW Diesel conversion on the mini bogger. Using the old school full mechanical VW diesel. No electronics. Easier to seal up and waterproof.

Finally. We wondered. That's how it be though honestly. I have five cars. All are projects. You basically have to pick a favourite or two and give them the most love.

If you want the Mini Bogger to bog deep and succeed, you need to do, at least, two things: - In addition to the intake snorkel, build an exhaust snorkel. What killed your 3rd bog attempt was the water clogging the Mini Bogger exhaust. It couldn't generate enough exhaust pressure to overtake the water going into the exhaust pipe. - Remove the doors. Not only does it facilitate your "escape maneuvers" in case of a failed bog, it allows the water to come in and equalize pressures evenly. Your 2nd bog attempt failed because of this, the water flooded in from the driver side, the driver side became heavier and it tipped over. In addition to this, I think that you should either isolate as many electrical components as possible, or swap the engine for something less dependant on electrical/electronic stuff. Water on electronic circuits is a no-no, as seen on your 1st bog attempt, when the distributor failed. Also, put some heavy duty paddle tires/wheels, it makes going through mud much easier. That puddle bottom should be all soft mud, the last thing you want is for the Mini Bogger to sit on the bottom with no traction. Other than that, do it for Dale and BOG DEEP!

If you get into an oval race you can say GOODBYE to that pretty paint scheme and HELLO to tire marks on the sides!

I'v broken 6 pilot bearing pullers in removing the PB in my C5 Z06.(given three were Harbor Junk). I have since modded the last three arm puller with a blocker spike that fills in when the arms are spread. Works like it should now. In the passed I'v had to use a Dimond bit in the Dremel to cut and relieve them.

Tell James I have a trick for him to take out the pilot bearing with no tools and this works on all pilot bearings. All you need is a tube off grease a news paper and an old pilot bearing tool (like the little plastic one that comes in most OEM clutch kits).and a hammer not always needed. Alright take the grease put some in the center hole of the bearing then put a little piece of news paper and pack it in with pilot tool keep doing this till you cant get anymore in. (Doesn't really take much) then take pilot tool and hit with your hand or the hammer when u get it packed good and tight the bearing will start coming out and sometimes when you hit with the hammer they just pop right out

right now I have 9 cars , 8 of those are all tagged/insured & on the road. when your at 5 or 6 cars it starts getting hard to keep everything up to par , and its ok to take your time with repairs . I would think you are at this point where I am . when you need to go somewhere local , you think , " what car should I take ." and it comes down to - "whats parked in the shade " - "what has gas in it" - "what has the best AC " sometimes I even let my dog choose . just by saying "get in the car" and what ever car she goes to and stands at the driver door . .

Once you manage to Bog Deep on that pond, Y'all need to build a formula offroad truck, iceland style and try to run on top.

On the truck....its built to go left so I'm sure the caster/geometry is such to support turning into the corners. Might even be set up with a little bump steer on compression to tow out the LF for better turn in. I've been surprised that you never did set it up on an alignment rack....

Got a plan for the mini bogger you should do a vw tdi swap but build the motor with big turbo and nos. A few companies that make an adapter plate. Would cover to see a 500 hp tdi in a tracker

I am an RC plane geek, and I have noticed that LP Cub on the lift with the Dale truck. Drag race against an RC plane would be cool LOL

Just a heads up, I noticed the dirt that came out of toast the other day at Houston. You guys are going to have to get that thing spotless clean before you try to import it to Australia. Customs is very strict there. Also the brakes will have to be changed with certified no asbestos pads/linings, and any exhaust or other engine gaskets have to be asbestos free. I am sure y'all are looking at the rules just dont want to see it get hung up in customs.

You might want to check into the brake port valve or valves because those trucks and cars are set up to apply more brake pressure to the left front to help it set up for the curve..

How would dale truck perform as track car/truck? Is the chassis still good for that stuff?
