how about using trick stuff brakes on the e-bike and the trail the trail bike? the Athertons use 'em and are incredibley powerful, maybe more suited for the the e-bike but still you could use them on the trail bike. If they can stand hardline they can stand anything!

And a side note for the OHLINS fork on your Alcatraz.....there is neon yellow replacement decals for those forks to match the small writing/accents on the frame!!! That would look sick!

Hi, had mine for about a month now & absolutely loving it! Took it to the Black Mountains Cycle Centre last weekend (my first visit) & smashed a few of the black runs & was some of the best mountain biking I've ever done! Am 6' 3" and rocking the XL which feels beautiful! Gone from 26" wheels to this and its so forgiving it is insane! Thanks Marin & your good self for reviewing. 🤘

Incredibly sick looking bike dude! I think some orange/copper accents would look great paired with the Conti tires and dark frame. Nothing crazy, just a few parts in orange/copper 😎

Sick upgrade would be going with the purple theme!! formula fork and shock with the purple coil, some formula or hayes brakes with hope purple rotors, purple stem, headset spacers and seat clamp, and maybe some purple chris king hubs on halo rims for a custom wheelset? Then a box one wide range 9 speed drivetrain!

Öhlins suspension, for keeping the tradition alive (normally I am more into RockShox), SRAM XO1 12x speed (no AXS) and then maybe some xtr 4piston brakes for maching the e-wings but I am not too sure about the brakes...

I'd like to see some Trickstuff brakes, Box drivetrain and some DVO/Formula/MRP shocks to mix it up a bit, or go super boutique with Intend shocks.

You should try stealth Dvo with black lowers and green logos. Try a micro shift advant x, and Magura brakes. I don’t know about you but I like seeing weird unusual parts on bikes.

Try a Shigura brake setup using Magura BB7 calipers (along with their MDR-C spline rotors), Shimano XTR levers, and Jagwire hydraulic tubing with their Magura specific pre fitted caliper cable ends teamed up with their own Shimano specific lever end inserts...could maybe even show off their tools for the job too. That way, you'll end up with a perfectly paired Shimano come Magura configuration. Meant to be mint if you can get the tubing and ends matched up...which, if you use the Jagwire hydraulic tubing + accessories, won't be a problem.

Trickstuff maxima brakes would be sick! It would also be cool that in your upgrade video you tell us why you actually think Ohlins preforms better than fox suspension?

I've just realised after watching another video, and yes I did watched this vid at the time, but only now realised a few weeks after purchasing, I bow have this bike in my stable and looking forward to riding it. However waiting on some upgrades before doing so. The Spank vibrocore rims are fully out of stock but once in and wheels built.... I'll be shredding her 👍😁

All your bikes get me buzzing...I know there is tracking number on the box for the ohlins forks you have coming for this one....maybe add some yellow/gold steez to pop the forks some more. currently building my MARIN ALCATRAZ! gonna be a dream build I promise. surely you’ll approve....cane creek cranks are a guarantee....

Use an ohlins coil for the first time. And you could try get custom orange ohlins stickers for the forks if you can get in contact with the people up top. And a bronze sram eagle cassette would look mint

It would be cool if you put trp brakes and darailer and shifter. They make some very high end parts and I think the bike could benefit from them. They also come in gold so you could probably match some other parts with them

actually you could do pink! theres this pink fork from cane creek called HELM MKII and it has pink lowers!

Drivetrain Sram, because PNW have a ubgrade Lever for the Shifter. It is like the loam lever but for shifting

ohlins forks and shock(obviously), sram axis to match orange contis and ohlins and finally some orange pnw loam grips, orange pedals and an orange oval chain ring like the san quentin. MINT!

You could try out the TRP brakes and drive train for this sick new bike!

Needs a blue with yellow writing 'RALEIGH' cushion on the handlebars. Maybe even a basket on the front.

Mat you should make it have orange on it to match the ties and if you change the forks you should give the foxs out as a give away

I would only upgrade cassette to xt and chain to xtr. Mech xt and that's it. It's very good build. Amazing spec.

For the suspension use Ohlins but put silver decals on and for the bricks xtr 4 piston

Great video, it's great seeing you and Sam riding together. Super cool bike, I'm dying to get my hands on an Alpine Trail. And I vote for orange accents, match the grips, cranks, seat and fork decals with the tire logos.

Sr Suntour forks and shock in their grey colour would suit that bike so well, plus proven how well they work by Sam Reynolds. Something a little different a bit underdog type suspension.

Orange or red look extremely sick with metal grey and black

Put Ohlins on for the fork and shock and continue with a black silver and yellow theme.

Put the new sram gx groupset on it, it’s a grey/metallic colour would look so good. Keep the fork, give it some silver e3’s with black floating rotors, silver burgtec stem and spacers, titanium cranks

Speaking of Ohlins, I got really excited earlier because I discovered my gasgas trials bike has ohlins rear shock 😮
