The movie industry exported Nigerian language and culture and paved the road for Nigerian music to be easier understood and consumed abroad and then Nigerians are everywhere on earth so there's all that

As a Nigerian, the population argument doesn't cut it for me. Where was the population in the late 90's and early 2000s? The Nigerian artistes stepped up their game in the early 2000s with the break-up of Plantation Boys into Tuface, Black Face and Faze, also the emergence of the PSquare brothers, and Mo Hits records with Don Jazzy, D'Banj, Wande Coal, Ice Prince, and D Prince. While Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy took it to a whole new level in the 2010s. Nigerians increased their patronage of Nigerian music after the musicians stepped up their game, not before. The pride in their music also stepped up after the artistes stepped up their game, not before they raised their game.

The population of Nigeria is a blessing, we are everywhere on this planet. Hence, it's easy to spread everything thing about us. Naija will listen to music from any country. The guy in the multi coloured bright shirt is right "the beat" is important to us not the language. Infact we will pick up the lyrics if the beat hits. The beat comes first.

Population has nothing to do with it but Quality. Jamaica is only 3 million people, yet their music have been mainstream across the world for decades.
@nmg19093 жыл бұрын
@@FaFa-fl1kh Population is a plus. Even bad songs will still have their fans in Nigeria. However, if all these countries hating can raise their beat qualities, all we will be well.

Most songs from Uganda and neighbors are over Processed... Their voice on the songs sound nothing like real voice or their voices... Secondly, all English speaking African countries should choose Pidgin and mix it with local language... Not totally in local language and expect ur songs to be played by foreigners in other African countries unless that melody is one of a kind... 3rdly, most songs from Uganda don't follow the trending Genre. Afrobeats is what everyone is hungry for, those Jamaican tones are outdated. 4thly, LEARN FROM NIGERIANS. collabo with Nigerians and emulate their style, when u grow bigger, then begin to cub in ur home style from there...
