The stupidest thing about ranked matchmaking is that when you’re iridescent you can only play with crim players on your team, but there will still be diamonds and plats in those lobbies, which are people I can’t even play with as an iri, it’s almost not fair to them

Plus the top 250 players will eventually have to help each other to gain points as the games go I'm about to hit plat 2 and it's been very hard going as I only solo queue due to not having a decent squad to link up with

I think the problem with the matchmaking is that youre supposed to play against 2 divisions higher and lower than you. Or maybe they said 3. So if this guy is diamond then there could possibly be a gold and top 250 in the same lobby unless its blocked from that standpoint. I've seen Plat in with top250 which is completely absurd. I dunno how it all works including ping and region constraints but imo the matchmaking for iridescent and top250 should be exclusive to those 2. The wait times will just be poor. On another note, real ranked play doesnt begin until plat. You can literally lose and get a couple kills and make you're way outta gold. Those initial 3 serve zero purpose.

Having made Diamond 2 almost exclusively solo que, it’s not a fun experience running into a lot of Iridescent/Top 250 squads. I think it’s a combo of, not a ton of players are playing ranked beyond Gold/Plat and obviously que times. Solo que thru Diamond is the hardest thing I’ve done in this game. And it’s made me a miserable person 😂

They should increase queue times. Other games with better rank systems do it at high ranks.

I guess this make sense. Every since i hit plat 2 im always in top 250 lr crim lobbies sucks cause most our PC players and or grind it hard. I only play couple hrs a week if that

League of legends you might get 2 games in 5 hours. 1 1/2 hour que time when you got in the higher ranks. Matches would take 45 mins or a hour long it was crazy. Sometime you get lucky after finding a match and it takes 20 or 30 mins to que but you play against or with the same people.

You're only looking at mp ranked distribution. With wz added diamond was 3.4% crim 0.9% and iri 0.5% and that's with mp ranked numbers combined, without mp added in those numbers would be even lower

I watched Biffle and Adrian a couple nights in a row and they farmed nothing but golds...watched destroy for a few days and he gets diamonds,crims,iridescent. There's definitely some shady stuff going on Z.

I think it should be bronze silver gold then plat diamond crim and crim iri and top 250 and sometimes maybe a higher diamond player like d2

My buddy is Diamond 3 and he shows up as Bronze 1 all the time.

I’m not disagreeing with you on the whole rank percentages go but it’s kind of ridiculous they don’t have placement games for ranks unlike most of the other competitive games. Not to mention the hidden MMR activision puts upon everyone 😂 To me it defeats the purpose of having a rank if I’m being cued with people that have a similar “hidden” rating

Warzone im a 1.82 kd player. my buddy is a 1.98kd and we play against all above 2kd players. once your good enough the game punishes you for having skill. if we get into a normal lobby it is fun lol but 19-20 games are sweaty af. i will say playing better players all the time my kd is going up real slow though. getting better.

Exact reason why they need to use an ELO rating system, which is based only on YOU. Using an individual based ELO system is the only real ranked system that works. What they have today is terrible - and it's easy prove because you could toss me in as the 3rd with Biffle / Adrian and they (we!!) would still be top 250, and I am definitely NOT a top 250 player. In an individual ELO ranking system you cannot HIDE your skills, and, you also can climb in medium and tough lobbies by out-gunning those with skills just above / below you. Hope they change it, frankly...because today's system is not good.

its not only diamonds that are matched vs top 250, if you are gold there is pretty high chance you are playing in top 250 lobby lol, cod matchmaking is broken there are not enough players playing ranked.

Have a 1.7kd and the players that get to play are so far above my level i can never get there! Can play for 8hrs and never get a win. Nukes every game with streamers enjoying shitting all over my team.

unless you live in the OCE. when i started playing ranked i was gold getting multiple iri and crim teams in every single lobby with q times of 10 mins. USA has it so so much easier
