Potato soup is a meal my family tolerates because I love it so much. I'll make big batches and freeze them. Then, when I have left over chili, I will mix them together for a creamy, hearty soup that soothes the soul.

I appreciate you so much for showing how much vegan diets can be accessible over the years. I have tried multiple times over the years to transition to a more plant based diet, but for various reasons, both in and out of my control, it’s been difficult, especially since I’m a very picky eater. Most of my life, but especially when I was in college, I didn’t have much control over what foods I had access to so I never learned to cook anything other than the meat based foods I grew up on, but watching Ares kitchen has shown me that it’s possible to find vegan foods that I know I’ll like and aren’t necessarily just meat substitutes that can be expensive or have weird textures. Also is it your goal in life to trigger people’s google homes or is it just a fun perk? Cause now I have a 30 minute timer for no reason.

My favorite thing to do with potato soup is IF I peel the potatoes, I like to fry the skins in a little vegetable oil and salt them while they chill on the paper towel lined plate. They are another nice crunch to add to the soup for more texture!

As an expeditor in a restaurant I take allergies super seriously, and I’ve gotten to servers to ask their tables automatically if their guest is “gluten free” or celiac, since that completely changes the cooking procedure (cross contamination is an absolute no-no with celiac). I love my job, and knowing people are taken care of.
