I remember listening to a rare Concrete Sox LP at a a local record store over here in Peoria, IL (US) 5 years or so on headphones there...cool stuff man...but they had a 'steep' price tag on it unfortunately.

WOWOWOWOWOWO I love both Heresy and Concrete Sox cheers from Barranquilla Colombia. Can I make you a question? There is a song, my favorite CS song 'A Woman's Work', who sings that song? The voice is obviously different and I assume it's a woman.

@@JazDickinson1 The vocalist is Tracey Bailey the same girl that sang on the Intro on Your Turn Next album and also did vocals on the middle part of Salt of the Earth from the same album. Regards, Victor...

Nick Barnett: his dad did the cover art on our (Concrete Sox) first album (Your Turn Next). The pic was at Digs flat on Hazelwood Road, Hyson Green. I was likely there when this pic was taken but not on it...

I hitched down to some gig in '85 in Leeds. The next day when I got back, I'd been burgled. They stole my ghetto-blaster, but my main concern was that this demo tape was still in it.

I have the cd boss tunage released with the demo, flexi etc on it. I also prefer the demo/flexi over Heresy's later stuff.

Grindcore evolved from extreme hardcore played by bands like Heresy, Ripcord, Larm, Siege, Negative FX, Deep Wound, Neon Christ, Cryptic Slaughter, S.O.B., etc.

Yes British scene was incredible in the 80's..Heresy, napalm death, electro hippie, ripcord, Extrem noise terror, etc etc all great bands!!!
