It's amazing what you can do with a little imagination, spare parts and a limited budget! LOL!!!

The movie you're thinking of is "For a Few Dollars More." Lee Van Cleef had a revolver that was rigged up to have a rifle stock attached to the grip to help with aiming longer shots. That's a really sick movie, actually my second-favorite movie. But that gun was cool as hell. The Rancher isn't the same thing but it's close to it in spirit. Stay safe out there!

I just love that you can film on your front porch with guns. SWAT would descend on me within 10 min where I live in the Minneapolis area. 😂

LOL!!! Me too! The area I live in is for the most part rural and most people in the area I live in, know me or know of me. Same with the police in the area I live. They all know I'm harmless, unless... Someone or someones try to do an illegal home invasion etc. Now that's different story altogether. (Smile) Hopefully that will never be the case. Thanks for watching. Stay safe and healthy out there in Minneapolis. Always watch your six. Peace.

Hello KZfaq! Small correction, the Rancher was actually $275 not $175. That said, this was just a little project I wanted to share. I was on the fence about purchasing this carbine, but after seeing all the reviews... I just had to have one!!! And now with the new modifications, this little carbine is AWESUME!!! I was a little afraid that I might mess it up, but it wasn't like I paid a couple of grand for it. That said, I'm glad everything worked out. (Smile) Thanks for watching. Stay safe and healthy. Peace

Most importantly you came up with something you needed and wanted and made it happen. Even though it took some doing, I'm sure you had a little fun too and was a good personal project. Thats what its all about. You made it more usable and utilitarian and its function able and done pretty well from what I can see. Good job man. Take care from Alabama 👍🏻🐍🇺🇸

Thanks Dustin. Appreciate the compliment bro. This was a labor of love, I'm really happy with the outcome. These are awesome little 22s for the price. It's not a target rifle, but if you look at it for what it is... A rifle version of a single action pistol... You won't be disappointed. I have the extra 22 magnum cylinder for mine. I like projects. The rancher is basically the pistol with a longer barrel and a stock added to it. It's definitely not a target gun, but it is a lot of fun to shoot. You can get a pool ball size group at a little over 10 yards. After that it really opens up. (A little over a base size group at 25 yards) If you get the opportunity to shoot one, take it. (Smile) Just make sure you have your eye and ears. Thanks for watching. Stay safe and healthy. Peace

No problem bro. The way things are these days, everyone's looking for a bargain. I really like inexpensive (not cheap) firearms. What really matters is... Does it shoot straight and go bang ever time you pull the trigger. I don't care about how much it cost, if It doesn't shoot straight or go bang when you pull the trigger... It's a paper weight! @redzone 101 i want to add a shroud as well. Any input? Love the vid! THANKS in advanced! Have a blessed day bud!!!!

I used a ruger synthetic 1022 stock, a dremel for the most part and a lot of patience mixed with prayer. Lol! The hardest part was attaching the shroud. If you decide to pursue this... Safety first! Make sure your firearm is unloaded. I know, no brainer, but you'd be surprised how many people start a firearm project and forget to do this. Have a design plan ahead of time. This'll help to minimize the the fine tuning etc. Don't rush. Take your time. Make sure the cylinder turns freely and isn't obstructed in any way. Again, if you decide to pursue this... Safety first! One more thing, adding a shroud could possibly cause more blow back. So always use eye protection when shooting. And again, Prayer doesn't hurt. (Smile) Hopefully this will be helpful. Thanks for watching. Stay safe and healthy. Peace

It won't chain fire. The danger is if the cylinder goes slightly out of alignment with the barrel, it can send, powder, gasses, lead and copper slivers into the arm. He should add a deflector like found on the Taris revolver carbines.

Yes. Heritage website sells it for $30. But then you'll need grips $25. Might as well just buy the 16.5" pistol for $100 less. It's the same thing except it doesn't have the buckhorn sights
