While what Mr. Mashaba makes sense in what he says he is mostly populist and he does so intentionally. He knows you can build a wall, you can close borders intensify immigration officers etc but illegal immigration will not stop look at America, Britain etc. The problem has to be dealt with at the source but when you deal with a murderous gvt such as Zanu pf which is a fact that Mr Mashaba knows it renders Zimbabwean citizens useless in the fight. This is when org like Sadc, Au, Un come into play but we all know these are useless orgs so we can't count on them. This leaves us with the country that hosts most of these immigrants. As long as S. A gvt keeps supporting Zim with credit lines,electricity etc it means they are happy with the situ in Zim. The politicians in S. A are in a very good space to call out their counterparts but if this doesn't happen the situation stays the same

Vusi Sibanda you not telling the truth. You know the number of economic asylum seeker are higher that the number of refugees and 200 000 permitted holders granted between Zimbabweans/South Africa. Each Government should deals with its citizens. South African is not economically stable and we can not take other citizen from other country for now until we handle our internal affairs and the current pandemic . We love our neighbours . but truth shall be told that Zimbabweans are in South Africa for better life. We are struggling as South Africans economically with high rate of unemployment and health system that can not handle the capacity of its own citezens. Our health system is over stretched due to high number of illegal migrants benefiting from a limited budget. I blame the administration on poor system . The arrogance of the Zimbabweans is truly amazing. When confronted about the crisis in Zimbabwe, Mnangwaga told South African delegate that they are a sovereign country and do not need interference from ANC Government. So they should learn to solve their problems and stop bodering South Africans.
@drew58343 жыл бұрын
@Man G point of correction, the Zimbabwean Govt is arrogant not the people.
@man.g24753 жыл бұрын
@@drew5834My assertion is within context. This Sibanda guy, a Zimbabwean, has been the face and voice of Zims in South Africa and quick to blame the Mzansi folks whenever the issue of illegal immigrants and their behaviour is tackled. Just check the social media such as twitter to understand the level of arrogance the Zimbabweans show when talking to Mzansi folks. When you listen to what he's saying now concerning corvid testing, he maintains that even the little the South African government is doing to sent positive Zims back home, after testing them is not right. He seems to justify the illegal entry of corona positive Zims at non designated entry points. The fact of the matter is, both countries are at lockdown currently. That should mean that no one comes in or leaves in both countries unless authorised to do so. The point at issue here is that Zimbabweans should stay home and fight for their rights instead of flooding South Africa. The Zimbabweans will not find it easy to enter Botswana where immigration laws are much stricter than in ZA. So again , Mr Mashaba is correct for blaming the ANC government for being incompetent in protecting South Africans. Mr Mashaba is 100% correct in insisting on South Africans first.
@man.g24753 жыл бұрын
@@karenlang4776 The problems and sufferings of Zimbabweans is self inflicted. When SADEC countries tried to mediate in the Zimbabwean politics with a view of assisting them to solve their political and economic issues, Mugabe rejected such attempts and insisted on letting "Zimbabweans rule Zimbabwe." Just as now the current government rejects ZA government's efforts to resolve the political issues. We are faced with the very same problems of government corruption and incompetence, but haven't given up the fight in South Africa.There're issues of over crowding in Mpumalanga hospitals currently, to such an extent that sick Mzansi folks cannot be accommodated and had to be turned away, or transferred to other facilities. As long as Zimbabweans do not stay in those non functioning hospitals so as to force their government to act, but instead run to overcrowd the South African health systems, their government will never -realise that there are problems. ZA will be expected to continue to shoulder them. It sounds cruel but that's what we're facing now in ZA. Our facilities are deteriorating under the corrupt ANC regime, however, we the poor folks without medical schemes suffer under those poor hospital conditions. We're not having 1st class medical facilities ourselves!! To have foreigners into the country now more than just strain the facilities, but collapse them.
@man.g24753 жыл бұрын
@@karenlang4776 as ZA citizens, black or white, we’re going to eventually overcome the ANC. Despite what appears to be a deterioration of race relations currently, as more and more people face hardships the race factor will diminish as we join forces to fight for our rights. Mzansi folks are challenging the ruling class since we have mo other place to run to, like those 🇿🇼 people. The race issue in ZA is fueled by the publicity given to fringe organizations that polarize ordinary people. If one spends too much time on social media, one will bet that South Africans kill each other on sight in every corner of their streets. This is because we have people hiding behind anonymity on online chats and spew negativity. I still have hope in Mzansi folks , of all colour in fighting the corruption and looting that’s going on currently. ANC won’t last for ever!!

SA can not involve itself to the internal affairs of other countries but thé Regional blocks have those mandates. SA should now return all this folks back home regardless of what permits they have that way the jobs in SA are preserved for SA first then SA will open the doors for the extra needed economic migrants. This is the time to tighten the norch to all African economic migrants coming to SA even with the illigal and false claims of refugees from East Africa and West Africa they should be processed in the boarders whether too come in or not.. SA needs restart cleanin up the mess in the cities as well send them home to go deal with their nigerian problems, Congo problems, Burundi problems and Ethiopian, Somalian and Rwandan issues. SA should begin now to send people home now before they keep on destroying our democratic practices. Our cousins are Swazis, Suthus, Stwanas the rest are just iligals.

Romans 13:1-2 1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities,(A) for there is no authority except that which God has established.(B) The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted,(C) and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. NIV Are we not supposed to obey the rules and laws made by the governing authorities of nations, brother? We're already accommodating millions of migrants [even illegal ones] from other African nations, Zimbabweans included. We have the highest Covid infection rates on the continent and currently have to deal with that, plenty of SA citizens have been retrenched from their jobs, what do you say about that -- do you empathise with them or is this empathy one-sided? My issue is with people who make passive-aggressive threats or try and guilt trip SA when SA is literally accommodating *millions* of African migrants as opposed to just talking with zero to minimal action.

Where's the smoke for the other African nations that can help out fellow Zimbabweans yet they're quiet and not inviting them to their countries? Don't they always claim that we're all brothers and sisters, where's that solidarity now? Shouldn't they also be helping to accommodate them like we *already* are? Of all the *other 52* African countries, you mean to tell me none can help them -- all the responsibility must be on SA alone? In fact, what's your country, Nigeria doing to help lighten the load, why aren't they extending an invitation to Zim nationals allowing them to go work and stay there in large numbers? It seems all the smoke is only for SA on this continent? Malawi announced a 14-day lockdown approximately two weeks ago and said that no foreigners were allowed in, only Malawians -- where was the outcry and complaints against them? Nigeria just placed travel restrictions on SA visitors due to Covid risks, prohibiting SAns from entering their country [rightfully so]... Was there a complaint from SA against this or are we complying because we know these are rules and restrictions placed by sovereign States upon us that we must abide by?

@@johnmajor1663 Perhaps if you string that sentence together in standard English it would make sense, otherwise refer to my previous comment: It's not South Africa's duty to pull its working class into a race to the bottom in their own country, for slave wages rather than a living wage, simply because people who couldn't build up their own countries are so desperate as to take anything. Or do you need a basic economics lesson on cause & effect?

Your entitlement of expecting ANC to do something to hold Zanu accountable is funny,ANC have nothing to do with Zimbabwe.
