Hey, I thought I have the same issue with this, but after taking it apart and seeing how it works, I see it is actually not supposed to move that piece where you were focusing your camera back and forth, in fact that piece is entirely disconnected from the mechanism and is only spring loaded. It actually slides up and down the entire support mechanism on the bottom section of the support bracket - causing it to tension up. Check the bottom as you rotate your +/- wheel and make sure it is moving up and down, max up and max down should be about 4-5 inches of movement which causes the entire system to stiffen up for stronger support. I took it apart entirely to verify its functionality. I hope this helps.

I think it is normal because my newly purchased Aeron (received a week ago) is like that also.

The sales guy just explained to me that is how it should be.

It's normal. The fact that your able to easily push it back with your finger means your back will have an easier time as if there was no resistance at all

Can you remove that part?

Hi guys! Is there anyone wo has lombar herniatic disc l4/l5 and used this chair? What can you aay about it??

I just bought one and I was wondering the exact same thing, since you've been using the chair for a longer while than me, do you feel the lumbar support works?
@VeroloxLP3 жыл бұрын
Yes, after a while I do have to say the lumbar support works quite good. However I still would say it depends on everyones own body, not even herman miller can create a lumbar support that works for everyone. But I do have to say that after a while I am starting to doubt wether I am sitting right or horribly wrong in the chair. Its hard to explain but I sometimes feel like my neck is bended too much but I cant find a position that corrects that other than using forward tilt permanently.

@@VeroloxLP try using a foot rest to secure your legs and press your spine against the posturefit device.

per herman miller rep, when you max out the knob, even forcing it slightly tighter will potentially break the mechanism...so if you've done that..there's a chance you've broken it
