Fun fact: Hermit crabs are actually very social and live in colonies of hundreds of their species! They trade shells amongst each other, and chirp, wave antennae, and wiggle their legs to communicate with each other. So yes, even a crab that literally has hermit in it's name is more social than you.

@@krausercruz2780 Yeah, in captivity they actually tend to be stressed when housed alone. I knew before writing this comment that they were social but struggled to find info on what they actually DO together beyond shell related stuff like exchanging old shells and fighting over new ones. Eventually though I saw a few articles mention that they can chirp or use body language to interact! Even just looking at the stuff they do involving shells though is crazy interesting, since their shells are such an important part of their life. Some of their behaviors even parallel human behaviors when it comes to housing and real estate. Look up "hermit crab vacancy chain".

OH MY GOD SAME! I can hardly talk to my own boyfriend and only reply with gifs and emojis cuz it's hard to express myself through text or speech. So pictures and gifs do it better for me. The only person I can openly talk to is my mom. It's so sad sometimes. LOL Anxiety is through the roof when it comes to people. Like, some people don't understand how hard it is to talk and then when I'm gaslit for it, I get super depressed that I just start crying. QwQ So, I feel ya with that one.

@@casperd2100 1. My cringe tolerance is a lot higher than average so I wouldn't know. 2. It is a problem that I don't tell my friends about my problems and how I feel. Recently, I have been becoming more open with them, but I still need to get there. 3. All of this is irrelevant because I was talking about random pop-ups not even messages from friends. Getting messages from them NEVER annoys me. I get really excited when they talk to me.

As someone who owns three hermit crabs. They are actually social animals, they love to live in large groups and can actually get lonely and die if they don’t have a buddy.

It's funny how "introvert" means so many things. There's this, being exhausted from talking to people, but everyone's a bit different. I, for one, love when (some) people message me, enjoy conversations and the like, I'm just not the kind to sit or hang out with people. So- different kind of introvert I suppose.

Fun fact: Hermit crabs are called "Bernard l'ermite" in French wich literally translates to "Bernard the hermit" So basically according to my country, every hermit crab is called Bernard for some reason... Anyways thanks for the cute video Bernard :)

You can set apps not to launch on boot-up. Go to task manager --> start-up --> disable. It'll make your computer run faster and you won't have to be greeted by unwanted social activity each morning.
