Does anyone remember that time Mumbo got Grian to do a voice over for his episode, I think if you can get like a hilarious intro from Etho or Bdubs as if they were you, it could be pretty funny

Prank idea. Reskin a flint and steel to look like a vault crystal. Then casually ask people to run a vault, in vanilla, like it's a normal thing.

I like that a lot of the Hermits seem like they're trying to chill out a bit and go back to basics. I'm excited to see what everyone does.

actually iskall honey tastes really great in tea. it's a natural sweetener and really does help indeed with sore throats. idrk what honey lemon tea tastes like personally but honey itself in tea is delicious

I wonder how often the Hermits actually sit down to discuss production. I've seen XB and Etho both monologue about keeping it very simple - mostly do "in-camera editing", the thumbnail is just a screenshot, keep it simple - but I dunno... it just seems like they need to assure each other more often that turning it up to 11 doesn't pay off in the long term. The very high production effort of S8 was amazing, but really only sustainable for shorter seasons. Some Hermits kept it up, other returned to baseline, and others (esp. Mumbo) got super invested to the point of burnout. I guess it's great when moments like this episode happens. Iskall realizing he can chill a bit more and focus on being himself and focus less on the editing is a healthy balance of being the best he can and keeping it sustainable. The fact that the fans have been saying "if it burns you out, it's not worth it" also has been helping, and I'm glad Iskall has been listening.

In regards to the change in video style and production....I LOVED it...I think I can speak for many other hermitcraft viewers when I say the building comes in way behind watching the hermits interact...and you've seem to have found a sweet spot....keep it up Iskallman!

putting uncut episodes one vodskal is a great idea, i wish more people did that when i watch multiple pov and see how much each of them cut of from their pov, i wish more was left in

I feel you on this iskall! You start off sharing the game that you love, but somewhere along the way you stop playing and "start making content" and it puts such a drain on you both creatively and your ability to enjoy the game itself, always having numbers and statistics and thumbnails and series planning and story telling in mind, when the game is about freedom to do anything you want, whenever you want! I've been giving my own thought process about "content" a good looking at, and know something needs to be different, because I can't keep having my favorite hobby feel like a chore that I have to do a certain way.

Can't wait for the new season! And to meet the TWO NEW HERMITS!

The style you mention here is kind of the best style. Doing stuff as it happens rather than massive mega project. Yeah like speed up footage can be fun but there is a difference between "lets speed build this house" and "lets record the building of a city in a minute." Anyway, looking forward to this neww season!

I been really enjoying the Vodskall channel, just you and other hermit talking about stuff like game design etc, it feels podcasty and reminds me when you do End City run with Mumbo a few years back, just you and mumbo talking about random things or weird English words. I really love those.

I was a teenager when iskall started hermitcraft, and now im in my early 20s,,,,how does time work? 🤣 glad to be around and watchign again as a season starts. I fully intend to keep up with watching this season, i just know this is gonna be epic :3

Maybe the best episode on Hermitcraft 9 was the mega prank on DocM77 placing dirt. All Hermits joining together having fun, talking to each other. Even you came back for this aburd event. Yes, i like all the beautifoll buildings and redstone but seeing you playing together i like the most. Keep it simple and let us enjoying seeing you guys playing this game. Have fun Iskall.

Damn thats crazy. I actually remember discovering iskalls channel from hermitcraft 4. I loved the build that he was doing at the time and hermitcraft was so fresh to me that i was just checking out everyone's playthroughs. I also remember watching the og iskalls island playthrough. I've honestly gotten a lot of build and even some redstone inspirations from this channel over the years. Still have been wanting to do a similar build to iskall's island ever since seeing those videos, but i never find good mushy biomes lol. I also absolutely love how you are adding in the vodskall videos. I love seeing all the chill behind the scenes stuff, especially if it were to be you testing and messing around with building some redstone contraptions. It adds a little to the whole series being able to see the experimenting and testing that goes on.

I can’t wait. Having all of the Sahara gang, the Dragon bros, dragon bros. On the server again. You Grian and Mumbo introduced me to the world of Hermitcraft. And it honestly doesn’t feel the same without you. However you make your content. However often you upload. I look forward to it all. So many people have grown through the years. I can’t believe I used to be 14-15 when I started watching. Time flies. . . Hope that lemon honey tea helps.

As someone who grew up with the worlds first minecraft LP by Gronkh (10min episodes 2 to 3 times a day, no cuts, no editing, just building and chatting), I always get excited when a creator goes back to basic and stops with the huge builds every episode. It's all about personality. No high profile editing can bring as much joy to the viewers as a great personality and a creator who genuinely is enjoying himself while playing :)

I cant belive its already season ten. Im so hyped for whatever new wonderful ideas you have!

I absolutely love the behind the scenes content. I feel like it's more than just getting more content. Like you said it makes things real, and that is why I fell in love with this style of content. I also think it keeps things fresh, instead of waiting, lets just say, a week between episodes we get to see what you and other hermits are up to in that time without having to wait for another main channel upload.
