With Cub making his own OP card as an event match, XB making 2v2, and X making a single player raid boss match, the hermitcraft TCG is really growing into a bigger game than its original creation and I love seeing its evolution. So excited to see how it evolves even further through other hermit's takes! Also makes me wonder if we can play against Evil X and the Pharoah in online TCG just as a player vs computer single player match.

The biggest takeaway i have is try to make Evil X end his own turn automatically if possible

Since evil X never does anything after declaring his attack, X could just make it so that he automatically passes the turn after declaring his attack after say a 15 or 20 second delay

I thought this too, but you need time to make sure you've done everything-changed the HP, discarded cards, done effects, etc. Everyone will do this at different speeds and when the turn switches all the lights go off, meaning you don't know what to do anymore, so I'm not sure this is actually a great idea.

@@eclogues_ it doesn't seem like it would be too hard for X to simply change the way the board works so that it doesn't stop displaying and only clears at the beginning of x's next turn

I hope so! Empires had so many commissioned/purchased resource packs they couldn't get the rights to release freely so the server files were kinda broken. I only hope that Tango and others have thought about the server downloads!

The Deepfrost citadel is currently half empty, and I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to convince Tango to make a boss battle for players waiting to get into Decked Out! Maybe a battle against a Warden and a couple Ravagers?

Actually love this idea! Well done X. I’d like to see more single player boss battles set up. A grumboss battle would be so so cool, especially if he had a custom card made. A move called “activate rift” has so much potential for shenanigans

The funniest thing about the grumboss is it would spit out the moves as renamed pieces of paper.

For a Grumbot battle it should spit out the papers with the attacks it makes. Would be cool also if it picked random hermits to use as it's boss, maybe the Mayors from the other 'universes'. Because it speaks in paper the voice acting won't need to be so much for all the 'Mayors'. As a twist it could use Mycellium or Grass field effects where one would heal it back up and the other add extra damage.

Seeing what everyone has done with your tcg has been amazing! Cub's pharoah card and boss fight, xB's 2v2 arena, and now X making a boss fight with evil X and having it been a single player is so cool and have been such good twists on the game!

The Grumbot battle should be voiced by both Grian and Mumbo, so it sounds like both of them are speaking at once, plus some robotic noise mixed in

Grumbot speaks through notes, I think that's still viable communication.

@@rowanwax yeah, but then not only does it make for alot of reading and lack of immersion, but it also would be more entertaining for them to have a voice, for both the player and the audience. Plus, that's alot of notes to use, and would be harder to follow along with compared to a voice, aswell as possibly being harder for them to actually make work using redstone. I do see where you're coming from though

He has a bit of a "trapped" feeling and I think the notes help with that 🤔 Plus maybe they can also add the skulkers in the background while the player plays thier turn- as Grumbot can't hear them without notes. So it'd be like he's using them to fufill his weaknesses

An idea for Evil X is maybe have one of the higher roll effects be that he gets a random effect card attached.

I like the idea of X dealing more damage and healing more, every life he loses, because honestly, although a fun game, does seem on the easier side.

Beef I’m really glad that you are so cool with the hermits doing other things with TCG. I know it’s your baby and it can be hard to not be possessive over things like this (at least for me personally) so I’m always amazed seeing hermits take it one step further and you just being excited and so cool about it! this boss battle concept is really interesting. Grumbot would be a great addition to the boss roster. One other idea: the giant goat head from early in the season

also, if I may add to the "ticking counter move": another idea would be that the boss has some moves (vertical columns), and adds concrete powder to those moves (as if hermit drawing cards), and the moves activate at a certain threshold

the water bucket gains a huge value in this arena with being setting ablaze a 1 to 3 odds as soon as second round !

The middle "Evil X sets you ablaze" ability should be "flip a coin; if heads, set ablaze; if tails, poison".

Could you do a randomizer for the 9th move? so it mixes up the deckbuilding for the Hermits? If it is always "discard your hand" then the hermits will dump their hand in 8 turns. Like: Discard your hand Evil X doubles the next attack Evil X heals 100 dmg. All afk hermits take 50 dmg.

For next season, what if the Wandering Trader sold TCG cards for diamonds using a custom pack. That way we can bring TCG into the next season, bring use to the wandering trader, and maybe curve the diamond supply on the server. Not to mention I would love to see all the interesting Wandering Trader farms that people develop. Awesome video!

This a great update to an awesome game!!! Also can translate into an idea for the irl tgc. The alter egos packs come with 3 dice, green one for round one with the damages on, yellow dice for round 2 for the additional affect, and a 3rd one that is red, with the final difficulty effects on it, so you can play the boss battles irl

I like that Evil X's coinflip moves use tails as opposed to heads. It does make Bad Omen counter-intuitive to use in the boos fight, so Xisuma had to make a special clause for using it against Evil X, but this got me thinking. What if Evil X's Derpcoin move also required tails to work? That would make Evil X a natural counter to player's using Bad Omen!

This was so cool and the grumbot idea is equally awesome. Grian and mumbo didn’t really get to play TCG because they were on vacation, but they could still have an arena they could be played. It would also give grumbot a use now that the empires crossover is complete, and give mumbo and grian some KZfaq content. 🤔 grumbot doesn’t have a voice though. He’s always communicated through notes. Hmmmm what would he sound like I wonder?

The ninth move should be that evil x instantly knock out a hermit from the players hand. The catch should be that the player gets to choose which hermit will be knocked out

You could give evil X two or three minions who each have say 150 health, who do a basic attack each turn for some small amount of damage. He can only have one and play at a time and any damage that would be dealt to him is dealt to his active minion instead as long as he still has one. this way cards that affect AFK players become useful again

It's not regional but probably one of the most common misspellings in English. So common it might end up just getting added to dictionaries as a variant spelling.

Poultry man boss battle.. the whole time you play, u get pelted eith eggs.. if u dont defeat poultry man within a limited time, the spawned chickens squish you.. maybe grumbot becomes his apprentice..

it's interesting seeing hermits literally creating their own equivalents to gyms. question now is who would be the hermit versions of the elite 4. jevin and etho would be 2 but who would be the other 2

@xisumavoid: A_Suggestion... Since no single shulker box holds all of the health cards, why not use a double chest instead? TOP_ROW: 210_to_290 2ND_ROW: 300 3RD_ROW: 110_to_190 4TH_ROW: 200 5TH_ROW: 10_to_90 BOTTOM _ROW: 100 ... with plenty of spare room for flame markers, etc.

For a boost to the player when one of their hermit is knocked out: at the beginning of the match have the player choose two cards from their deck, maybe they can't be ultra rare or rare, these two cards go into their backpack. When a hermit is knocked out the player is allowed to choose one of those two cards to put into their hand

Would be cool if for the special move it depends on if you're losing or Evil X is. If you're winning you discard your whole hand, if you're losing he has pity and lets you draw an extra card, if you're equal i don't know maybe he does an extra attack?

BEEF - To solve the problem of pressing the opponent's button, Xisuma could make it so that a block is pushed over the player's deck Shulker when it's not their turn, thus preventing the player from accessing their deck until such time that the opponent's button has been pressed. 🤔
