I remember in Season 6 he did have a few times showing his thought process through some server issues, but it'd be great otherwise! I do know that back when he made videos on Let's Play Minecraft Together he often showcased admin things, too, and it was much more common.

Fun fact: Axolotl means water monster, they get their name because they resemble the Aztec God of Lightning, Xolotl. I don’t think X realizes this but this hence means he is the God of Lightning.

He’s a bit more than just the god of lightning. As the Evil Twin, he is more the god of chaos and destruction. In Minecraft he’s be best associated with Hard mode. Monsters, illness, fire, lightning, souls of the dead and more are his domain. Also the cute little “water dogs” the Aztecs loved eating.

Might be a bit noisy, the slime will constantly try to move, so you're going to get rappid squishes.

Actually I don’t even think it is possible to get a large slime into a boat. Tried for like an hour and couldn’t get it to happen. If it is possible, it is extremely hard. Tried it on creative btw

In all honesty, even though its been 3 ish episodes into the new hermitcraft I can tell this one will be the best, keep up all the good work xisuma and all the other hermits!

I agree. This season has already been fun from many different perspectives thanks to many hermits deciding to group up early on. Mumbo, Grian, Scar, Impulse, and Pearl are, of course, a hilarious group. Then you have Keralis, Bdubs, and Tango, who are all hilarious. Then you have Doc and Ren, which are a very interesting duo with what seems like an insanely cool lore this season. And of course you can't forget Iskall and Etho! I am super excited to see what they do together. Of course the solo Hermits are also super cool, such as Zedaph and his crazy sciencey things. Every Hermit is worth checking out, and the fact that this season has started out interesting from every perspective gives me hope for this being my favorite season. I do worry about one thing though. Diamonds are much much tougher to find in 1.17, and the decision to not have a shopping district and to instead have shops at hermits' bases might lead to buying things being too difficult to be logical. Hermits may instead opt to providing for themselves rather than buying from other hermits. I'm sure something will be figured out, though.

I loved how your starter base looks "lived in"! I think one of the most overlooked things in base designing is making the place look like it belongs there and someone looks there!

With the villager trading with the potatoes, once you've traded a stacks worth to them you can press space and have it refill if you have more potatoes (or whatever crop) in your inventory. This makes a nice pattern of shift click, space, shift click that makes the expensive trades like potatoes and carrots so much nicer to trade

You should put the amethyst blocks 2 blocks above your chests and then put amethyst shards on those blocks. That you can open the chests and still have it look super cool.

X! When u trade with villagers, you don't need to click on the trade again, just press space! Its a very usefull trick, i usually push shift and spam right click and space, i hope this is helpfull. Great vid like always!

That has to be the best ending ever!! I love how chill X is when he gets knocked into a lava pool and then falls off a cliff to a lava lake, it doesn't even bother him, But the sound of the pig men falling on top of his hiding hole gets a reaction.

You can turn the skeleton farm into a stray farm if you add powered snow with a cobweb under the snow above the drop

Tip: when trading with villagers and you have a many stacks of an item you want to trade. You can hover your cursor where you would be receiving the emeralds and spam space and shift left click. Space will automatically put the item you need into the villagers trading place, and shift clicking will put the emeralds in your inventory.

When trading large numbers of materials for emeralds, you can press space rather than having to select the trade again, which makes it so much quicker. Thanks for the great videos! Never fails to bring a smile to my day!

There's another way to get a lot of emeralds besides curing your villagers: raid farm. It's not hard to put together early game and you'll have more drops than you know what to do with, especially if you set up some villagers to throw gifts at you while you afk.

For harvesting amethyst I cleared out the geode and then I just setup scaffolding at different height levels so I could easily access every side of each budding amethyst. I don’t think automation is worth it especially since you got SO MANY crystals using fortune 3. Also you can silk touch a crystal that isn’t fully grown and move it to a different side of the block to continue growing. It works well for when you have multiple budding amethyst with only one block gap between them.

Xizuma, please replace the top chests in the Amethyst wall with Barrels. Then place item frames on them. (This makes the barrels into usable cabinets, one that BDubs might approve of) And if you need an idea for a build: Stone bottom Dock with Elytra landing pad.

You can place glowing item frames with maps in them behind the tinted glass, it remains dark but you have a bright background to see stuff with.

To automate an amethyst farm, you can get an observer in front of where the cluster would grow. After four detections of growth, a piston extends and the cluster is collected by a hopper. Operations have to be on site however, since the budding amethyst blocks can't be transported using pickaxes, silk touch, pistons, etc...

Yes, in 1.18. In 1.17 its still possible, but its very rare

Ya know, I got to thinkin when you said “diamonds are hard to come by”. What do you need diamonds for? To make tools and armor right? Set up a trading hall and sell diamond tools and armor!

Xisuma, I’m not sure if you know this, but when you’re trading one item for emeralds such as carrots, when you put one stack in the leftmost box of the villager GUI to trade and then you trade for the emerald, you don’t have enough items for another trade in the leftmost box, you can hold shift and enter on the rightmost box it will automatically refill with carrots and you don’t have to click on the trade on the left anymore every time you want to do the same trade. I’m not great and that’s a confusing explanation but it’s so useful

X, if you want to farm the shards from the budding amethysts, fully grown amethysts, if broken by a piston, will drop 2 shards... you'll need either an observer and a counter, to measure all growth stages, or a really long clock. On the other hand, if you want to mine clusters (with silk touch), you'll want a minecart roller coaster which brings you around to each Budding Amethyst in turn, slows you long enough for you to mine one or two of it's clusters, and then speeds you to the next one. An unpowered powered rail is decent for slowing down minecarts.

One thing at 8:45, you can hold shift and trade, then still hold down shift and press the spacebar, and you'll get a stack of potatoes/carrots into the trade page instantly.
