Hey guys! Sorry I couldn't get more gameplay but it was very unfortunate timing with my flights to EVO. Just wanted to get my initial reactions to show you guys, more Hero gameplay coming soon. Hero is OP will take me a little while but expect it in the next month.

I just love how Hero has a move that turns him metal, and he's also the only one with a move who can counter it.

If you haven't got the chance to test it : Psyche Up + a fully charged critical F-smash does 96.4 % ...

How I describe Hero: “Hey wanna play an RPG? But in SMASH?”

*Didn't You Know?* The Hero, despite popular belief, is actually _literally_ broken. He is completely unplayable. All of the videos of him are just photo-shopped images of Little Mac.

Got caught in his weird black hole Thwack bullshit and died instantly at 46% as Ganondorf, without even a chance to recover because my character model just straight up disappeared off the map. Fair and balanced.

Hero’s dair is the Sakurai spike because he got the disrespect with it against the bot

If you haven't already found out, he has another move called whack that acts similarly to thwack except is a projectile.

Who would win? A Pac-Man main, who has probably been playing the character for many years Or little Z playing hero with around 5 minutes of training

What if you wanted to win, but Hero said Twhack, Whack, Snooze, Hatchet Man, Psyche Up, Hocus Pocus, Critical hit, Neutral B or Side B ? Balanced character !

He’s insanely fun and I played the hell out of him, I love his RNG Mechanics and High Risk High Reward Factor. **HOES MAD TOES BAD**

Hero isnt broken y'all. He doesn't have a solid place in the meta, high damage moves does not mean you're good. All of his normals are garbage, he just has some cheese RNG. What makes characters good is consistency with good moves to fall back on

Ah yes, hero, Ganon fsmash but fast, every projectile character's projectiles, insta recovery, jigglypuff sing as a projectile. And people thought k rool had a bloated kit lmao Edit: never mind hero is kinda easy to punish for pulling out the spell menu, I take it back

For the record, Zoom is useful because if you get it at the right time you can recover from literally anywhere. Cancels all momentum as far as I am aware as well.

Imagine thinking hero is actually broken. I think it was clear very quickly he's nothing more than a casual fun character. That being said. He's very, very fun

He legit ruined the game for me. A few matches in and me doing amazing and some scrub hits me with one move and like 10 percent which kills me... Then self-destructs and kills me. Two stocks of them doing literally nothing. I never rage quit games but I totally did with this bullshit.

To be honest when i fight against hero opponents, they do way too much damage.

Even tought he has great moves using them is risky and dangerous Hero is *not* broken (my opinion)

Breaking shields with Hero has gotta be my most favorite thing. Just spin the Wheel of Death with Down-B abd see how our unfortunate victim dies. Do we cleave him in 2 with Hatchet Man, or perhaps we attempt to banish them to the Shadow Realm with Whack/Thack? Heck, maybe we could just go full Vegeta and disintegrate him with the MP Burst or Kamikaze? It's so evil, and yet, it warms the cockles of my heart.

I enjoyed hearing the orchestrated Dragon Quest music in the background. I don't get why they put synthesized versions of the songs in Smash and not the arguably superior orchestrated tracks. It looks like you got the hang of Hero pretty quickly.

I like Hero a lot. He's got a magic meter so he can't spam all his spells all the time, and the menu options, while powerful, also require some focus on the menu which provides an opening to attack unless you're offstage, so there's a limit to how you can use it effectively. I can see some very hype turnarounds coming from this character, but I think people who rely too much on the crits and the Down-Bs will quickly find themselves being trounced as people learn how to play against the character.

Im happy for Hero, but sad because Daisy/Peach parasol has a bug now In which the last hit almost never connects, especially against characters like Link and Hero. Check it out.

Funny you said "Link Dash Attack", because Erdrick (Hero 2) is voiced by Nobuyuki Hiyama (Adult Link) and Eight (Hero 4) is voiced by Yuki Kaji (Hyrule Warriors Link). I thought that was pretty cool when I saw the Direct. I already knew about Yuki Kaji, but I had to look him up to make sure I got my facts straight.

Zoom teleports you on Stage from every location on the map. That's broken.

I think Hero is going to be similar to Snake in the sense of a ridiculously high skill ceiling but so much potential when you hit it. You need the speed menuing of an RPG Speedrunner and exceptional awareness of your surroundings otherwise your opponent gets a free hit while you're trying to decipher the menu, but you can cancel Down-B with jump or shield and you can select midair giving more potential for Oomph, Accel or Psych Up like Wii Fit's limit. Hero is only broken if you give him the space to set up because without his specials he's basically a slow Marth. Also, if he runs out of MP and you get him off stage, he's dead, like if R.O.B had half of his Up-B Fuel but that fuel also charges his laser and gyro. I like facing him as Kirby though as Kirby's Forward throw combos into Kafrizz from around 25-75% depending on DI, so one grab can give you 50% damage.
