The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (ゼルダの伝説トワイライトプリンセス Zeruda no Densetsu: Towairaito Purinsesu?) is the thirteenth installment in The Legend of Zelda series, developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo for the Wii and Nintendo GameCube.
Originally planned for release in November 2005, Twilight Princess was delayed by Nintendo so the developers could add more content and refine the game. The Wii version was released on the same day the Wii was launched, making Twilight Princess the first Zelda game to debut at the launch of a Nintendo console. The GameCube version was released in December 2006, and was the last Nintendo-published game for the console.
Twilight Princess is as of yet the only game in The Legend of Zelda series to be rated T by the ESRB, for fantasy violence and animated blood, though there are a few bloody situations in older 3D Zelda games. The story focuses on Link trying to prevent Hyrule from being engulfed by a corrupted parallel dimension, the Twilight Realm. To do this, he takes the forms of both a hylian and a wolf. He is also assisted by a mysterious creature named Midna. It is set in the "Child Link" Timeline after the events of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, following the timeline created after the events of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and is parallel to the events of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

I literally haven't played this game in 7 plus years but I played it the first time on WII and was obsessed with it. It's so weird that even though I haven't played in almost a decade everything still feels "off" being mirrored on the GameCube version. I'm gonna have to go play this now.

Nice to see there are still videos of Twilight Princess being uploaded to KZfaq! Twilight Princess is my favorite Zelda game; even better than BotW. Lots of great dungeons (such as Arbiter's Grounds and Snowpeak Ruins) Cool items Good story Epic moments, such as chasing King Bulblin and then jousting him off a bridge Cool combat moves Wrestling with a Goron Great soundtrack Midna!!! Fun final battle with Ganon

Twilight princess is my absolute favorite! BotW was great, of course; exploring is super fun. But a) the style of tp is to die for and b) I’m one of those people who values story over all other elements. Which means that majora’s mask and ocarina of time are also huge favorites of mine

Another glitch is to put on the iron boots in the final fight against Ganon, right before you hit him with the final strike. As long as Link is wearing them for the final hit, then the end game cutscenes will have Link still wearing the iron boots! It doesn't slow him down for the cutscenes, but they do make a hilrious "CLANG CLANG CLANG" as he moves. Very much worth a try.

All the editing: Yes, always. Could change in the future but its been just me so far. Recording, yes, mostly. Occasionally I have to use clips from KZfaq, but those are always clearly defined on screen with links in the description. Probably 95% of all footage I record myself. For this video in particular (like I have for some in the past) I streamed almost all of the recording I did on my second channel: kzfaq.info ((For the Wii clips I had to record it off stream because it was straining my CPU too much to do it live.))

Another way to do the back in time glitch is to go somewhere with quicksand, wait until there is a sliver of link's hand left, then pause and restart. :)

Red Dragon578 Yes there are but there is a glitch where he hasn't covered. What you need to do is have a water filled in s bottle. Go to either Kakariko Village or Ordon which ever prefer. Go to a sign and chop it till it's small enough. Grab it and go away from the destroyed sign and immediately use the bottle water. If done correctly then you should actually break the game meaning freezing it

Nintendo Navigator same, one time I glitched through the gate in Faron woods as villager link then I went to kakariko and I met midna even tho she never met me b4 xD and another time I kept the wood sword by getting the slingshot, skipping the wooden sword and glitching thru the gate to the bridge and doing everything normal then I skipped the ordon sword and did the twilight thing and then I went back for the wooden sword and I even defeated the first boss with it xD

I used to play TP on my Wii years ago, and although I haven't played it in a long time, I love to watch glitch and speedrunning videos of the game. I think TP, especially older versions of it, has some of the most fascinating speedrunning strategies. The way gamers figured out how to do exploits like EMS and then work around all the resulting roadblocks is just really cool to me for whatever reason.

ruse mode Well, in terms of story, Twilight Princess is better. But, botw is the superior game because of the content we get. This game is more linear, and the boss fights are pathetic. In botw, some of the bosses are actually challenging. Take the lynel for example. He’s intimidating, difficult to fight, has multiple attacks the player needs to memorize, and had stronger varieties adding new attacks and getting stronger. Not to mention that he’s nearly impossible to kill in a long ranged fight, and has multiple weapon varieties. That’s one of the many bosses this game has to offer. I value content over story, and many players are the same, so, botw is truly the superior game.

I just want to say that TP also offer lots of content. There's many fun dungeons (like the sand dungeon), fun minigames (like racing against the Yetis), the best partner for Link (Midna of course), huge variety of different weapons (such as the double hookshot and the spinner), the mechanic of turning into a wolf, the link from majora's mask passing down his battle knowledge onto you, a fun,unpredictable twist on Zant and an amazing final boss battle!

Interesting that there’s more than one way to trigger the back in time glitch. The way I learned to do it was to sink in the quicksand at the Arbiter’s Grounds and reset the game as soon as all but your fingertips are below the sand.

I remember outside of Iza's boat rental cabin, I beat the Shadow Beasts as Wolf Link, which were supposed to be killed as normal Link. I got stuck with Iza telling Wolf Link to clear the river of boulders with Bomb Arrows.

the engine was very sequence heavy, was originally made from wind wakers engine and that game does similar things when you try to skip in game, certain sequences become glitched and in some cases soft locks happen like the wolf link and diababa glitch.

I know this is an old video and more than likely no-one will see this, but with the back in time glitch, I found it easier to do it at Arbiters ground. Fall into the quick sand and then wait until it teaches Link's hand that is up in the air then reset. I found that way I got more consistent results

I've only played Twilight Princess HD and it's SO weird to see the Gamecube Version on 1080p but with low resolution Textures. They look so bad but at the same time it's funny and confuses me because I've never seen the game like this xD I also watched a playtrough of the Gamecube version on an actual console but if the screen resolution is as low as it is on the Gamecube you just don't notice that the textures themselves are low resolution too ^^ They really did a great job with the retexturing on the Wii U, great remaster imo 👌🏻

I've done the river game thing with wolf link. Its hilarious and when my mum walked in on me doing that she almost fell over laughing

Great video DPad, very interesting and funny glitches. A year or two ago I did the Back in Time glitch, and tried things like dying or using items, so if you fall you recover your hearts, and if then you can make the game glitch even more, last time I tried I ended up in the point of the story when you get transformed into a wolf but I had, as a wolf,.the Master Sword and the Hylian Shield in the back, that glitch has a lot of outcomes, just letting everyone know.
