This video shows the Hero Range Columbus edition teardrop caravan. We had issues with our new AirPods that have been giving sound difficulties and we ran out of time to do this again before this caravan left us. We will re-record in better quality later this year.... You can hear what is being said but the sound is irritating so if you don’t like bad sound maybe wait until the next one comes out our check out our other videos :-)...

Excellent video Richard, and covers off so many of the questions a prospective buyer like me would ask :) I think I will probably be re-watching this video weekly until mine arrives now! Am I imagining it, or did there used to be a Hero Ranger graphic on the rear door?

Yes. There is one but Jon decided not to have it as think he is doing his own logo. The graphic was still inside the caravan just in case he decides to put it on.

They are installed at the factory but leaving off the back one was doable :-).

Another Great Video of the Retro Teardrop Van. Just wondering how it would Handle our Aussie Outback with such a Flimsy Hitch. Id also fit a 4ooAH Battery and a Portable Solar Panel as Well. Love that You Have a "Pet" Kangaroo in the Background

Hi Richard, Good Video .1 Question - I leave the rain guard in position permanently .Should i remove it and tuck it in before closing the kitchen door for driving ?

Hi. Yes, that’s what Hero recommend. I don’t think it’s a big issue either way but if you find the door not closing as firmly as it should then it could be because the rain guard is in place.

Hello, we've been watching your videos a couple times now and finding it difficult to choose between the bushcamp and hero! Hero is very well equipped for this price, but eplorer is lower! Wich do you prefer?

Hi Richard , We Loved these designs in Australia; You beat me to it, importing these is a great idea. 2 things that differ between, Aus and UK regarding trailers, the nose weight in Australia is between 100 kgs and 250Kgs, hence the storage box location. Then there is the Aus enclosing battery internally. what is the Nose weight of this model? kind regards.

Thanks for your thorough information. Seems excellent for us 🙂 How could the electric heater be used off grid? Is it possible to mount a combi gas/electric heater?

Is it safe for the battery to be in the sleeping area?

What a classy and rugged looking teardrop. I absolutely love it, but I know it’s not sold in the U.S…..just like every cool European camper that I’ve seen. I hate it here.

It is sold in the usa, was just at Sierra RV in Utah and they have multiple units on their lot 👍👍 you can see their inventory online

How do you shower?

A few options really... Using the side Privacy curtain or putting up an en-suite tent... Then from a simple warm water bucket with a little battery powered or 12V pump and shower or something more elaborate such as the Kampa hot water cube... We do have some shower videos on our channel showing shower setups to give an idea.
